My guess would be VFC still tbh, despite the typo they are the only company I can think of that would go to lengths to engrave a heatshield 😂

Aye, definitely carbine length. I know VFC had their RIS engraved but I can't imagine they'd let a typo be implemented?
-
That was my first thought too!
-
Looks like it's been screwed/riveted in at some point, looks like an M4 size.

Slightly too long for the handguard it was sat in😁I'll try to remember to measure it tomorrow. But why bother to laser engrave a part that will never be seen? Slightly bigger pic. below. Forgot to mention it wasn't screwed down to anything, just lying loose.

It looks average to me... 😬

Size isn't everything you know.

Nato flak vest with inner and 2 ceramic plates.

I wore the green camo version in Kosovo. The standing joke being we hoped the bad guys were good shots to hit that tiny little plate. -
Definitely an Asian repro heat shield. How long is it?
- Today

Given the spelling it's prob an asian repro heat shield.

Thoughts of the collective airsoft brain please. While sorting out the M4 bits to list in the classsifieds I happened to notice markings on what I thought was just a thin aluminium sheet inside one of the handguards - see pic. below. Now I can't imagine how a real steel part like this would end up in a pile of airsoft parts, but I also can't imagine and airsoft manufacturer going to the time, effort and presumably licence requirements to engrave this on an item that will basically never be seen! In the words of the immortal Manuel, 'Que?'

Have you any experience of an MWS to compare it to? I've been swinging back and forth on buying a V3 VFC for a while, but Jaeger Precisions latest range test of them vs MWS shows suggests they are still not there in terms of accuracy. If this latest revision of their hop can close that gap I'd be interested to know.

There's a gap in my increasingly nonsensical, borderline-indicative-of-a-personality-disorder list of YouTube subscriptions for a channel with a focus on pot-bashing within waste water run-off systems so crack on chum and get that content out.

I was also at this event, on one of the US special forces teams and I must say, what I saw and experienced does not match up with your account. Whether I was in the group you had perceived issues with, I don't know but regardless, I didn't see a single instance of non hit taking. Nor did Josh or any other staff member/marshal mention anyone on the enemy team had made any accusations about non hit taking. We had an excellent medic who was generally ideally located to get people back in the fight. The weight of BBs in one of our LMGs (mine, which was our LMG for Saturday morning) was questioned by a marshal and I confirmed 0.3s. This was perhaps after you got shot in the face at 10m. If it was indeed me that shot you in that instance, I do apologize but I think it needs to be known that the context wasn't that I saw someone out in the open and then just decided to aim at their face and full auto as I certainly wouldn't do that. I would say 90% of engagements happened through vegetation and I'm sure you'll agree, in many instances it was a case of shooting through leaves where you could just about make someone out. And an LMG is decent at that kind of thing. I don't recall shooting at anyone close up in full auto fwiw. What exactly were the complaints coming from the US side? I'm intrigued.

Converting from mini-Tamiya to Deans...
Gunboat Diplomat replied to RostokMcSpoons's topic in Electric Guns
Ha - so it was you who bought that one! As an aside to this thread for anyone who stumbles by, be careful if ordering any Mini-Tamiya to Deans converters from eBay/Amazon/AliExpress etc. Most (if not all) of these are aimed at the RC Car market, where the polarity is reversed so you'll need to swap the wires for airsoft use. (Or just snip and solder on a Deans plug as above which is infinitely more sensible) -

Trying to de-clutter and get rid of stuff no longer needed Too many to list individually so please get in touch if something catches your eye. Prices vary but happy to negotiate. Just want this stuff gone tbh Note; the suppressors are boneyard, the OPS has no end caps but there is a threaded section inside so it will screw onto 14mm CCW The other one (KAC QD style) is knackered. Could do with new pins to hold it in place. Happy to WhatsApp more pics and vids of anything. 077638396311.00 GBP

It may come as a shock to some, the amount of retailers who accept this. Patrol Base being one of them.
