Are the guns you are wanting to purchase popular ones? MWS, AAP etc? I would say no. It's not beneficial for them to sell stuff at a discount which will probably walk out the door at standard price. If it's oddball stuff than you have a much better shot.

You sure you want an ares? I have an A3 and the only issue I've had is it's mag fussy but ares in general have a bad reputation. -

Worked in a shop quite a few years ago, the mark up on the guns wasn’t very much. However the longer they’re sat on the wall, the more overtime they cost the business. I used to jump on multiple gun deals for that reason, you’re in a strong position as a buyer on that front. Airsoft shops aren’t like Primark with a huge flow of customers through the door, big deals really helped offset the slower days and the ever increasing overheads. I imagine that’s why a lot of shops are now just online only unfortunately. Make the most of being able to go to an airsoft shop and support them, they’ll be happy to see you and make a deal I’m sure.

I’m on the hunt for the above, please it needs to be a slightly older variant without the bloody horrific white ‘CE’/‘ASG’ markings the newer ones seem to have. I am NOT after a Star one with the plastic gearbox. I’m a sucker for detail. In a dream world one with a deans connector, I’m not fussed if it’s internally modified as that will be happening anyway as I can’t help but tinker. But please no heresy mods externally I’d like it stock (or DD rail at a push) externally. I’ll be doing an early Afghan build anywho. I always found the staff there really helpful. My mate and I drove over a second time and ended up melting cards with random springers, stuff they'd just got in that wasn't on the website and stuff we definitely didn't go over for. Enjoy.

I remember driving from Prestwick over to Fife to get a good bundle deal with the guys from Airsoft World, but that would have been 15 years ago. I was buying for the site and for myself so it was a fair whack. Not sure what the margins are these days, and I wouldn't want to horse anyone over it, but I'd always ask. "Shy weans* get nowt", as my grannie used to say (*for those confused , wean is a term sometimes used in Scotland and Ireland and other places for children. )

It's always worth asking them if they will do a deal for 3 , and that's best done face to face . I manage a Jewllwers and will always listen if someone asks about some discount , but if they start taking the piss and being pushy I start increasing the price . Ask them , be polite about it and see what they say.

Despite my collection I've NEVER set foot in an airsoft brick & mortar shop, I'm planning a wee trek to one of my localish shops to make a cheeky offer for a 3 pews in one purchase (not cheap ones either IMO), have you had much success doing a deal face to face or am I wasting my time?

Yeah was shooting at 400fps when I first tested it. The mag was just a spare high cap I had laying around so I pulled the internals out and superglued the pin back in to give some rigidity to the top of the mag. Wiring is still into the mag as it's just the better place for it tbh. If I wanted to make the profile smaller, I could get a short mag and put a peq box size battery in there.

It was shooting hot for me but I'd only ever chrono'd it so assumed it was a tight spring due to zero use. Hope you're happy with it, looks great with the changes, did you empty the Pmag for the battery or reroute the wiring? Think I'd only ever fitted an RDS to the top rail so can't comment on the rest of them. I remember watching Forgotten weapons vids about his AR57 & apparently the RS charging handle was dodgy... I should have charged more for the realism 😉
