Supporters Liam Porter Posted April 6, 2012 Supporters Share Posted April 6, 2012 I'm considering selling my L96 and getting something different, or a more realistic (mag location), better quality L96. What sniper rifles are compatible with the same upgrade/aftermarket parts as the Well/Warrior L96? Looking at an M24 (CA or SW) or an M40 in particular if I change rifle completely.. Are there any decent L96s with the magazine in the correct place (which don't have feeding issues)? Also, are there any that come with the fluted barrel and built-in iron sights/funny lumpy bit at the end of the barrel (I forget the name...)? If so, what upgrade parts are they compatible with? Thanks, Liam.
Supporters M_P Posted April 6, 2012 Supporters Share Posted April 6, 2012 Others in the well/warrior mb-0... series are probably compatible, and the maruzen l96 which they are cloned off. the maruzen SR-2. I think that's pretty much it The tm l96 has issues with how the mags feeds which can break or cause other problems. I think the only other option is the new ARES one (although it's the aw.338 style), which takes VSR parts, whether thats all or just some parts I don't know but it could potentially could be quite good. Supporters Liam Porter Posted April 6, 2012 Author Supporters Share Posted April 6, 2012 Okay thanks, know what parts the Snow Wolf or Classic Army M24 takes? I've read somewhere they take the same as the L96, but can't find it or remember now.. Is the ARES one any good? Although it shouldn't matter too much as most internal parts will be replaced anyway.. Is it gas or spring powered? The ones on Fire Support are gas, which isn't allowed at my local sites
Supporters M_P Posted April 6, 2012 Supporters Share Posted April 6, 2012 The ares is spring, I wouldn't know what it's like as it's only just been released Not sure on what parts the M24 takes though- I think the CA has it's own set of internals but I'm not sure enough to go by
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted April 6, 2012 Supporters Share Posted April 6, 2012 Please get the Ares, 'cos then I'll know if it's good enough for me to buy one... I REALLLLLYYYY WANT ONE, even if they turn out to be crap I'll still want one. I still want the gas one as well. =[
Supporters Liam Porter Posted April 6, 2012 Author Supporters Share Posted April 6, 2012 I'll only get the ARES one once (if) I know it's good enough for me to buy one.. Kinda looking for one that I can use the parts from my L96 in, so I don't have to re-buy upgrades, just swap them over and then sell the L96.
