Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted January 19, 2012 Supporters Share Posted January 19, 2012 I've been watching some Soutthedoggie videos on YouTube and there's a guy with a seriously awesome WE M14 modded by RA Tech and the range and accuracy it seems to have is utterly staggering, even when they're surrounded by snow and, obviously, in Scotland. The main reason I gave up on gas guns was because of the Propane cool down factor and how it vents gas everywhere, this M14 is run using Propylene, which I've never heard of and can't find any places to buy it anywhere. Just wondering if anyone on here makes use of it and knows where you buy it? I'm quite tempted to get an RA Tech modded WE L85 from TQC with my next student loan installment if it's easy to get hold of and works as well as the videos seem to suggest. Supporters M_P Posted January 19, 2012 Supporters Share Posted January 19, 2012 One of his team mates told me on another forum ages ago (cant remember which) that theft Propylene destroys the o rings and seals etc in the mags, just a heads up. I'll see if I can find it. Your best bet is probably going with co2 mags
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted January 20, 2012 Author Supporters Share Posted January 20, 2012 My M16 didn't work very well at all with CO2 mags, it felt like it was breaking itself, I think they ought to provide a stronger recoil spring for use with CO2. I think seals are easier to replace than internal components of the gun lol. I've found this: http://www.welduk.com/Details.asp?ProductID=661 do you think the AI Propane Adaptor will fit onto it? david0512
I don't know where to get it but I've seen it used on an SR25 and it is stupidly powerful. I would only ever use it on a sniper rifle/DMR because it will destroy most pistols or GBBRs without loads of modifications. If your gun can handle it though, go for it. I must note, it kicks like a bugger and will take a lot of getting used to. I've also seen Scoutthedoggie's video and I want an M14 like that some day, but the mods cost loads. GiantKiwi
Which sr25 uses gas? Please look at the dates before posting, this thread is over a year old I know this is pushing on 8 months out of date, however as far as Gas SR25's? Rare Arms or Escort. Been trying to acquire the latter for the best part of 2 years, rare doesn't even begin to cover it, there are more Asahi M40's in existence.
