How can I actually delete an advert? I have a bunch of old completed ones but the only option I can find is to "Hide" it.

Should be a drop down menu somewhere, under "thread moderation" maybe ?, failing that, send me a pm with the URL's of the ads you want gone and I'll delete them.

That literally hides them from view, its not a "hard" delete unfortunately.

I'm happy to delete some for members (lol, im probably gonna regret this😱), just send me the URL.

Thanks all, I'll get to hiding them then.

An odd choice of nomenclature all in all. Why not just call it "delete ad"?

I have marked all my adverts as completed even though they aren’t, added no new adverts for weeks, and still I can’t add new adverts as I have reached my maximum ?

I've just properly deleted all my old wanted & sold ads, it allowed me to post a new wanted ad.

How did you do that as I can only hide.

Probably mod privileges give me delete options, send me a few urls of ads you want rid of, we'll see if it works ?

I can’t see them anymore, and I checked back 20 pages on the parts section and they aren’t listed, but still tells me I have reached my maximum for the week.

I'm not sure how far back the automatic renewal system is pulling ads from, so if someone has had say 90 ads, will it keep drawing from that historical pool ?, would 81 have to be deleted before it allowed a new ad to be added ?.

Sorry, im not much help, all in can say is Proffrink is pulling his hair out over the issues, but is working hard to resolve them for the benefit of all the forums members.🙏

Being hit with the 10 post limit again, despite not having anything new posted... 😕

I have placed no new adverts in weeks and marked those I had as complete despite not really being sold, and I still can’t place adds as I have reached my maximum for the week. Given up now. 😫

Honestly, same now lol

Whilst the forum is a great social asset, one of the main focus points (For me at least) was the classifieds and the ease for people to contact others regarding listings. That's half nullified for me now as I can never post anything 😂

My adds simply don't seem to be on a countdown, assuming everyone can see them too, most still have 5 or 6 days to go but not added any for weeks.

Still a great forum,  just the sales section is screwed for some. As I said given up trying to advertise anything, you can’t actually delete anything yourself so guess it will just continue to say you reached your maximum number of adverts.
