AAP01 again

I opted for the AAP01 Shinobi due to it's size and hopefully it'll keep me in the game if my primary is hit.

What I'd like to know is what upgrades do they "need",I was thinking towards gas efficiency and consistency.

I have 2 friends who have these but they never seem to work due to the mods they've installed.

It's a secondary so I don't want to spend a fortune on it.

I thought bolt,valve,hop rubber?

Thanks for any help.

These seem to be the most customisable pistols out there, try using it in game before you spend hundreds of £ on a £90 sidearm.

Did yesterday but I don't think I gassed it enough tbh.I just emptied it at the end of the day.

My lad had an AAP01 and as soon as any internal mods were done, it all went to pot.

Maybe he got unlucky but from speaking to different people when playing, it seesm that quite a few had similar stories

That seems to be the norm

I have a Shinobi aap, fully upgraded internally with steel parts, works great. It depends on who does the work not the gun or parts.

Ok good, what would you recommend ?

Just like the time i spent hundreds building a Glock 45 with all nice internal parts then put a steel slide on it and ruined the performance entirely. 🥲

Mine works fine for CQB or for funsies in woodland. If you want to drop money, buy a second one and dual wield?

I don't mind keeping it std if it's going to work ,but everyone of them seems to be modified.

The biggest improvement for me came from the bucking, not so much range but a massive improvement in grouping. The silicone Maple Leaf bucking's have worked really well in it, they're incredibly "grippy" so they're terrible in AEG's, but I've a feeling that with the slight amount of oil in "green gas" they come into their own.

Like others have said replacing parts in my AAP-01 has been disappointing, with inner barrels really making little difference to FPS / range / accuracy.

These though have probably been the upgrade that I've been most happy with...

... in that you get a few more BB's to each mag / can drop to a lower pressure gas / the added weight just makes the AAP-01 feel more satisfying to handle.

The AAP-01C "Shinobi" is actually slightly heavier than the standard one, despite being a shortboi.

You're using the translucent silicon MR hop?  What colour?

Blue 70 degree silicon autobot in my one (and indeed in most of my pistols) seems to work very well. I took the view that with the extra grippiness of the silicone, a 70 degree is about the equivalent of the 50 degree in old money. No idea if it really aligns like that, but the results seem to bear that theory out.
