B_E_T_A Posted Saturday at 00:23 Share Posted Saturday at 00:23 Is there anyone that has frequented or possibly played at the FAO precinct 13 site in Walsall that has any insight as to what to expect? Interested in trying it out as I have played at Anzio quite a few times. Anything that I need to be aware of ahead of time or can I just go down and have a chilled day with some (what looks like) decent cqb? it’s pretty close to me but I’ve only ever been to West Mids HC2 for my cqb fix. It could all have been solved with a quick-change spring swap out. Rogerborg

Unfortunately, he is to blame as well for going ahead with it and not knowing his own hardware. The owner had allegedly sunk a grand into his gun and tech work without learning so much as it having a QCS. The hole was drilled into the nozzle and it brought the gun down within the limit but the owner found that not only did his gun not fire inaccurately, swarf from driling the nozzle got into the gearbox so you can imagine the number that did. FAO's manager tried to downplay it saying he explained the purpose of drilling the hole and that the owner consented to it. He did compensate the owner for the cost of repairing his P90. No, I'm not that owner. I did all my own tech work on mine without a drill. 🤣 Cannonfodder and B_E_T_A 1
Galvatron Posted Saturday at 16:54 Share Posted Saturday at 16:54 On playing at Precinct 13, I've been of two minds of playing there. It's nothing to do with the "Drillgate" incident, I've seen a load of YouTube videos with a lack of tactical skill or planning being "made up for" by trigger spamming that may as well be full auto as well as pre-emptive firing. That's not for me. Cannonfodder
Cannonfodder Posted Saturday at 18:14 Share Posted Saturday at 18:14 I agree that the owner is partially to blame for agreeing to it, but the site owner is more of an idiot for offering such a dumb solution and even more so for not accepting any responsibility for his "fix" fucking up the gun. I can't help wonder if he runs the site with such a cavalier attitude. 1 hour ago, Galvatron said: a lack of tactical skill or planning being "made up for" by trigger spamming that may as well be full auto as well as pre-emptive firing. Galvatron Posted Saturday at 18:27 Share Posted Saturday at 18:27 Just now, Cannonfodder said: I agree that the owner is partially to blame for agreeing to it, but the site owner is more of an idiot for offering such a dumb solution and even more so for not accepting any responsibility for his "fix" fucking up the gun. I can't help wonder if he runs the site with such a cavalier attitude. Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. The gun owner had some responsibility for not having some basic knowledge of absolute no-nos but the site owner/manager is more responsible for the reasons you started. He eventually did accept responsibility by settling the cost of repairs. I think he was as casual and non-chalant about it because he admitted to doing it before and having no complaints. The fact that he didn't think to check if there was a quick-change spring bothers me the most. Rogerborg
Supporters TheFull9 Posted Saturday at 21:31 Supporters Share Posted Saturday at 21:31 Not sure about others, but what I personally see is that the smaller the indoor site the higher number of PPPs (Proton Pack Players) you'll get. Precinct 13 is pretty tiny, when I went they said they limit to about 16 max and even that is too much and it gets stalemate'y. Which I could fully believe because there's only a single lane you can move down, you can't get through between the shops in the backs, only via the main concourse. They've put in about as many wooden structures as they can which makes it viable and overall not bad with small enough numbers but I'm not sure I'd go on a Friday night/weekend. I’ve seen from their Facebook posts they have a max cap of 30?!? That’s seems feather large for such a site as itself?
Supporters TheFull9 Posted Sunday at 08:42 Supporters Share Posted Sunday at 08:42 When I went a couple of months back the bloke running the evening told me something like 16-18 cap, but if they do allow 30.. can't imagine it'd play very well, very choked up and over-contested. Maybe they have some sort of player-rotation/tag-in type modes setup to alleviate it though, not sure. The positive aspects for me were close location, great parking, runs most days including weekday evenings and entirely indoor so during proper winter it was just a lot less effort to play compared to packing all the layers etc for a woodland game. I'd say HC2 is better for CQB play (though I've not been in many years), just based on the multiple lanes despite the base square footage probably being similar. But I'd say P13 is worth a go one time at the least if you're around those parts and want close up pew-ing.
