Hi Everyone

I need some help recently I borrowed my friend's spence arms m249 para and fell in love with the idea of a support role made for some great defensive games but when I said I might buy one myself he said to get the full size version instead of the para when looking I couldn't see any difference between the two spec wise unless I have missed anything my question really is their actually a difference? other than one being smaller is size any light on the topic is appreciated thank you in advance.

I guess fixed vs foldable stock? The full size one will probably be a bit heavier

Actually just checked. The full version is 4.7Kg while the para is 4.9???
But the full one is quite long at 107cm while the para is between 79 and 92 cm

The full size version has longer barrel an full sized stock I believe

I've owned both a para and full-stock versions of the M249. Personally I'd lean towards a para just because it's that little bit easier to move around with.

That said, if you only play at a big open woodland site, have at it with the full stock! :)

The stock on the para is metal, the stock on the MK2 is hollow plastic. That's where the weight difference will be.

As a Para owner I would say it's WAY less unwieldy than the MK2 and internally they're the same so it's basically down to aesthetics.
