PopRocket123
I love my GBBR but I don't get a chance to play very often. I've often seen it recommended that you use dry gas in your gas guns but then obviously that means the seals can dry out so I was wondering. Would it work to use a small amount of green gas as a storage gas then empty and refill the mags with a dry gas when I take it out for a game? Guest DrAlexanderTobacco
I wouldn't overthink it - use the gas you have at the very least because keeping them pressurised is what's important. Pressure pushes the o-rings against the gaps they're sealing, which helps prevent the o-rings from drying out.
Supporters Samurai Posted January 21, 2020 Supporters Share Posted January 21, 2020 There is maintenance gas that has a lot of lubricant in it and less than propane pressure exactly for this. Green gas is better than propane, as there's some lubricant and propane is better than storing it without gas. If you only have propane, but you have silicone spray, then you can press the valve in on an empty mag, spray some silicone into the lip and then fill it with a little bit of gas for storage.
