RyanK Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Hey guys, ive been airsofting now and it looks like I will be doing it alot more in the future so I am wanting to get my own gun. I have narrowed it down to a JG AUG Military or a SRC Gen II XM8. both from tactical airsoft, the links are below. http://www.tacticalairsoftshop.co.uk/produ...litary_TAS00080 http://www.tacticalairsoftshop.co.uk/produ...8BK%29_TAS00518 Problem is I don't know which one to choose. My friend says that I would need to replace the pistons on the XM8 every year since they get worn down alot, is that true? I don't know what the built in scope on the AUG is like, but the one on the SRC is adjustable and has a 3x zoom. So I would like to get others opinions on them. Thanks in advance.
bigshep Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 some reviews for you aug http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3008 src hmm couldn't find any there. Really it is up to you, they are both ok, though the JG may need a spring downgrade as they are normally around 400fps. JG aug has great range though and is pretty standard, the SRC's tend to be slightly non standard so changing things like hop units can help matters.

AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted June 10, 2011 AF-UK Founding Member Posted June 10, 2011 The Gen III's are marksman. This is a GEN II, not that I've heard any horror stories.
Supporters M_P Posted June 10, 2011 Supporters Posted June 10, 2011 oh, my bad. The gen 2's arent much worse, as far as I know the only difference is 7mm bushings in the mechbox as opposed to the 8mm's in the gen3's
