MrInfernal
Hey hello everyone, I'm in the process of upgrading my gun, and the question is, when is it worth it to do Rhop? I don't want to use BBs heavier than 0.3/0.32g, barrel not over 410mm, and spring about M130 max. Would I notice performance rise with R hop over normal flat hop? Thanks. Supporters Adolf Hamster Posted September 26, 2019 Supporters Share Posted September 26, 2019 really depends on what your looking for. rhops can be a pain in the ass to get right but the results are a bit better. why not split the difference and go for something like the maple leaf macaron? i'd also suggest the pdi w hop as pretty decent (although it'll struggle to lift heavies should you decide to go that route) i'm currently running a 50 degree macaron (had to sand the feed lips down a tad, a common problem for ml rubbers) with a pdi 6.01 and on geoff's .3's it certainly does work, although granted nowhere near as well as the same setup being fed .48's. Supporters Samurai Posted September 27, 2019 Supporters Share Posted September 27, 2019 R hop allows your gun lift heavier weights than normal, and those bring more accuracy and effective range. If your gun easily lifts the weight you want to use, you won't see improvements with R hop.
