russianweeb1099
I recently picked up a used PTS Mega Arms MML Maten as a project. Its essentially a KWA M4 inside. The owner said something was wrong with the hop up. It'll chamber a round and fire no problem, but it has no power behind it. Most of the time the BBs just fall out of the barrel. Any ideas on what I should do?
Supporters Prisce Posted June 29, 2019 Supporters Share Posted June 29, 2019 Check the nozzle. Check the condition of the hop rubber and nub.
Supporters Shizbazki Posted July 2, 2019 Supporters Share Posted July 2, 2019 Hop rubber, the nub in the rubber is often what applies a litte pressure on the BB to hold it in the barrel.
Supporters Samurai Posted July 4, 2019 Supporters Share Posted July 4, 2019 In an AEG the hopup rubber's mouth is keeping the second BB to enter the barrel. If it's worn or just too big, it will feed 2 BBs. Change the hopup rubber. You can test it: make sure the nozzle is retracted, drop a bb into the hopup - gun is upside down - and if it goes into the barrel only with gravity or a very gentle touch with something that fits there, then it's bad. It should need a small but noticeable force.
