Hello!
I'm about to buy a TM HK416D, and was wondering whether (after I install a LiPo Adaptor) the gun will take 8.4v 1600mAh batteries?
As everyone seems to be saying they use 7.4v online, I wanted to make sure; as I already have 2 8.4v Batteries.
Thanks,
T.

7.4V = Lipo

8.4V = Nimh

The Lipo is generally considered better.

A 7.2v LiPo battery will give noticeably better performance than an 8.4v NiMh.

Don't get a LiPo adapter though, just have someone solder a deans connector onto the contact bars in the stock, it'll be cheaper and provides one less point of resistance.

Your NiMH batteries will work fine as a stop gap, it is a bit like putting 95ron in a Bugatti tho.

You will get these improvements from running LiPo;

Longer battery run time

Faster trigger response

Lighter weight

2 decent LiPo batteries will cost you all of £20

You will need a specialist charger however.
