Hello guys,I'm new here and I want to get back into Airsoft after not playing for many years (maybe 10 years). I have a tokyo marui MC51 and I'm worried that the internals may be useless after not being used for so long. What parts should I change/replace (if any and what would you recommend?)

Welcome back to the moneysink! :)

Depending on how you stored it the gun should be in pretty good nick. It wasn't loaded was it? No magazine inserted? Batteries discharged? Was the spring compressed?

Might be worth giving it a once over - a quick clean and regreasing, checking seals etc..

Couldn't give you any indication on what to upgrade unfortunately. Not really my area.

Such a weird looking gun btw! ;)

If anything; I'd put my money on O-rings and bucking. And even then they may be fine. Battery is probably garbage....

No reason for anything else to fail from age (if stored correctly), but a bit of lube will mostly be what's missing.
