I have an old faithful ICS Transform 2015 which I've had from new and have "transformed" it further with a tightbore, systema gears,hs motor ,etc..now the dilema..I've been offered a very little used H&K 417D for a very reasonable price..do I take the H&K or stick with my old faithful?

Don't say both because I like to own 2 guns only at a time,a shorty M4 for CQB work and a long..either one of these. As far as I can see they both have good and bad points.

The ICS is older but fires stupidly fast and I go through many bb's due to the high speed motor, performance wise it pi$$es the H&K in that respect but I have not used the H&K on the field. The ICS is lighter although that is not a real issue for me,but that is the main issue for the sale(64 year old found it a tad heavy).

I'm led to believe that the H&K is built better,it is surely sturdier..any info regarding either good or bad comparison wise would help guide and elighten this tormented soul...

I think I'll buy it and compare on the field in the end,for the time being I know which one I'd rather not be shot by...thanks..

In terms of reliability and performance, the ICS is going to be better. Externally, VFC aeg’s have always been very nice.

I have a VFC 417, very nice and to be fair to it the internals are not all that bad, and can easily be a good gun.

However fully upgraded you are going to be no better of performance wise than your current ICS.

And yes it is fairly front heavy, you'll need dedicated mag pouches, and they are big so you can't carry many.

Fookin cool though :D
