RapidFire1991
Hey, i did a small test where i hooked a 12v power source to my Double Eagle M85 Rifle, i love the faster fire rate but i need to know where and how i can get a 12V Lithium Polymer or Ni-Cd battery for it? AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted March 30, 2011 AF-UK Founding Member Share Posted March 30, 2011 That isn't going to work. You will need to invest a lot in a solid gun before you start going sticking 3s Lipo's in it. At the current rate the LiPo and charger would almost undoubtedly cost more than the gun itself - I'm sure you can see what I'm saying.

RapidFire1991
that WILL strip the gears in a matter of 100 rounds or less Fair enough, I''ve tested it twice with a 12V source and it didnt seem to phase it, but hey if its gonna damage it then thats fair enough. Thanks for telling me
AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted March 31, 2011 AF-UK Founding Member Share Posted March 31, 2011 Maybe so, but what was the discharge ampage of this source?
RapidFire1991
Maybe so, but what was the discharge ampage of this source? Well its used for charging R/C Car batteries, just plug it into the mains socket. but we cannibalised a cable and hooked it up to the 12V, plugged it into the rifle and POW massively increased rate of fire
AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted March 31, 2011 AF-UK Founding Member Share Posted March 31, 2011 Yep, they have a much lower discharge that what you'd experience from a LiPo. That charger is unlikely to be putting out much (not more than 5A) where as a LiPo you'll be looking at 30A at least depending on capacity and discharge rate. (I have a LiPo for an R/C car which can hit 280A)
