Roundel91
Im really leaning towards buying an MP5K for my CQB needs. Im after one with a stock but not the fold to the side one on the PDW's. my reasoning being that it will also serve me as a good backup platform too. Will this type of stock... https://www.hkparts.net/shop/pc/MP5-F-A3-Universal-Retractable-Stock-ON-SALE-83p2621.htm Easily fit on to this? http://www.heckler-koch.com/en/products/military/submachine-guns/mp5/mp5k/overview.html
Supporters Lozart Posted November 7, 2016 Supporters Share Posted November 7, 2016 In short, it won't fit....easily. The grooves down the side of the receiver where the stock rails slide are blocked with a welded on metal plate towards the back end. This is recreated on the replicas so if you were determined to fit a sliding stock, you'd need to grind these out to allow the rails to slide. Supporters Monty Posted November 7, 2016 Supporters Share Posted November 7, 2016 Get the folding stock varient, as it replaces the baseplate.
Ajax
I got JG MP5 PDW version and I tried to fit CYMA buttplate to transform it to MP5K. It looked alright at the pictures.... And it ended up with me customising it for 2 hours. It was aluminium so no big issue but just general world of warning that even that they clone each other there is high chance that you will need some work to make it fit. Roundel91
Thanks for the advice all. Managed to find a forum post on another website that somebody did what id like to do. In short the work was alot more than just swapping parts out and a bit of jiggery pokery, well beyond my skillset anyway. Will see if i can get my hands on a pdw for a look/feel before thinking about something else instead
Supporters Lozart Posted November 9, 2016 Supporters Share Posted November 9, 2016 You might be able to get an adaptor plate to allow you to fit an M4 buffer tube and stock if you just want an adjustable stock, something like this: http://airsoftgogo.com/en/product/product/
