Hi guys,

I am new in city and live in central London. I thought I can get some help or advice from you.

I played a couple of games previously but never in London so I do not have any equipment.

Is there anyone I can have a small chat?

- the closest place I found for game is almost 1.5hour away, I think I am doing something wrong

Thank you and hope to see you in soonest game !

Can you be more specific than 'central london'. There's around 10-15 sites accessible on london public transport or 1 hr by train if you're up for a 1-3km walk at the other end.

Ah sorry, I live near Oxford Circus Tube. I could only find one place "Bunker 51" but that was indoor area and I am more into outdoor. And of course, I am ok with walking that much.

Thank you !

Bunker 51 is bad, don't go there. There's an indoor site at whitechapel with questionable concerns regarding overcrowding.

I would recommend the mall in reading for your indoor needs, as for outdoors, take a gander at the uk airsoft sites map.

Hi

Firstly welcome to the forums and London, and wow your nearest tube is Oxford Circus?? You must be some millionaire to live there!

Consider

Dragons Lair Airsoft in Kelvedon Hatch

Skirmish Airsoft Billericay

AWA Herts

Red1 Chisulhurst

Red1 Kings Langley

Red1 The Boat Woolwich

UCAP Sandpit

The Mall Reading

Bunker 51 is awful from what i heard as its mainly a paintball site, as for the The Whitechapel one, well i have never been but heard of overcrowding and people overshooting with potentially hot guns.

Problem you'll find is that being as your in Central London, rent prices for that area are skyhigh, way outside all Airsoft sites reach, furthermore the type of sport this is i think most people would be a bit apprehensive of travelling to Central London with a bag full of RIFs on public transport bearing in mind the current terrorism threat and that every MOP is basically shit scared of anything looking like a spud gun.

Thats why most if not all Airsoft sites you'll find on the periphery of London as are all the ones i have mentioned above because land rent prices are cheaper and therefore more cost effective. Furthermore as they are mostly out in the sticks i would recommend you get your self some wheels.

Welcome to the forum mate,

I'm London based as well, but in the poor side :)) (NW zone 3). I wouldn't recommend Central London sites, there are quite few mentioned by Sir Shizbazki but I only played at one of them.

Bunker 51 - never played but herd bad things about it

Red1 The Boat in Woolwich - it's an airsoft site on an old ferry, I never played here but apparently there only run it via Facebook

BlitzCQB in Whitechapel - first game of airsoft here. When I played first time I do have to say I didn't enjoyed the site at all, small, dark and expensive. (£30 for 4 hours - no rental). There were only two marshals at that time, one in the game-zone and one in a room overlooking the game area.

Please bare in mind that we may share different opinions and you may actually enjoy them.

At the moment my only site is The Mall in Reading which I enjoy the most, massive game-play area situated in an old shopping mall located close to the train station. You could take the train from Paddington (£18 two ways ticket with GWR) and arrive around 8:30 in the morning just in time for briefing. At this point is my best option as I don't have a car and the kit bag is getting heavier. If you fancy joining I plan on going Sunday on the 30th this month.

How do you sign up for this site? I was already aware of it. :)

I think it's only possible via their FB page. I keep checking their event area but I only have seen 3 or 4 games played on the boat since they opened.

I played at bunker 51 2 weekends ago, and will never return..

- too many players

- too dark, damp and smelly

- even tho its dark they use smoke!! so you can see even less!

- only one area to play in and games get boring...

My fav site is AWA Herts, Im going there on the 30/10 so if you come down, come and say hi :)

AWA Herts, I've been there before but a bit far out from me in North East London, plus the road leading to the site isnt too kind on my BMW 320d when i went, might be different now, wasn't too keen on the safe zone area, looked like to me they chose a spot and threw up some tarp and a couple of garden benches.

Dragons Lair for me or Red1 The School though Red1 Chisulhurst comes a close second.

I am planning to go to Red 1 this weekend (23 Oct), that place looks like the best option in terms of travel time (1.5 hour)

Come say hi if you are going to be there and see a guy who has no idea what he is doing and just looking around :D

Dude I saw you, we were on the same team. First half skins in building and second in the woods.

I was the guy with dark blue jean, black pullover and hired kit - AEG of course.

It was a fun game, looking forward to next one.
