Elts7
Afternoon all, Just picked up my scorpion evo from the shop and had it chrono'd at 380 ish give or take. I was wondering what the best method is to reduce it? the guy at the shop said put a thousand or so rounds through it and then get it clipped once the springs worn in a little. The other option i saw was to buy a new spring, as its a scorpion i believe asg do an M95 spring which should bring it around 350? can anyone confirm. thanks for the help
Sacarathe
Anyone suggesting cutting or wearing down springs with that particular gun needs their head checked. I'd take it back and ask for the FPS you need (but by the same token, with that particular gun, this is equally unnecessary). Pretty bad for a shop to sell it like that without at least offering some option to bring it to the usual levels.Have you done any research at all? I can confirm that actual research will answer your question.
Guest PT247
You can spring change that gun in under 1min, that is proper lazy of the shop to not do so or at least offer to do so for you! Can't remember what I had in mine but was probs an M95 to get sub 350fps
Sacarathe
Please can you not make more clutter (new threads) about this gun? Unless it's something which is significantly more specific. You have 5 threads on this gun and 20% of your posts are new threads; which is not exactly 'wrong' , but rather unnecessary, ask questions in the simple questions thread when they are this simple. And by this simple, I mean you didn't even ask google. I've been where you are myself, got a new gun at 355 fps on 0.2. But I knew before I had it that fixing a high power spring would not be easy, but not likely a problem with the expected wear. Research everything you can think of before parting with your money. Elts7
Yeah he said i can either invest in a new spring for like 16 quid or whatever it was but he said hed clip it down for me when i next go in. Also ill start using that thread more then. Didnt seem to see much action so i thought that it was ot used anymore. Thanks PT ill probably just get the m95 spring instead

I have done some research but i like to get information off people who've owned the guns and can give me reliable info rather than being lead astray. People like yourselves and PT are almost crack on with information and experience ao i like to learn through your eyes aswell as whats been quoted on other sites. But i appreciate where youre coming from pal !

It shocks me how many badly done ones I have seen that have been done by so called shop techs. As PT said m95 and here is the link. http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft/asg-scorpion-evo-m95-downgrade-gb-spring.htm#.V_km6XRwbqA Fit it yourself it takes seconds. ikarma70
If you need further help from someone who knows the asg evo, contact rogue wolf airtech on Facebook. His name is Cody and he specialises in this gun.

What do you mean specialises? Its an AEG if you can work on one type you can work on pretty much all it's not rocket science and the evo is one of the easiest guns to work on. Not that it actually needs anything. Specialises haha sounds like airsoft slang for b*llsh*t.
