Hi all,

New here and new to airsoft but getting into it in a big way!

Not gone silly (yet!) but bought an SR36 from a trustworthy friend who's been an airsofter for some time.

The gun seems pretty good, very much a hose on full auto with hi-cap mags (three linked together so no shortage of ammo).

The main recommendation I keep hearing for them is to replace the hop rubber so I'm here looking for ideas, after scouring the forum already of course!

So, all you wonderful experts (and I use that term extremely loosely ;) ) - what do you recommend?? Type/brand/whatever??

TIA,

Phil

For typical UK weather and FPS limits (350) the softer buckings do well and two you will hear a lot are the Prometheus Purple and the G&G green.

Now if you want the best hop up rubber you can get then you'll want to R hop it, but its a fair bit of work and you may find just flat hopping a Purple will get you good effects.

Thanks for that.

Not sure what the current rubber and bucking are like so just ordered a Lonex 50 degree to start with, I'll see how well that works and go from there.

Hey, not the forum's fault I have no patience! :D

The Lonex was basically a stop gap until I could identify and buy something better. My logic being that i'm better off with something new and reasonable than old and knackered.

In my G5 I use a prommy purple flat hopped with a proper flat nub, and I have to say it performs better than I expected. It's certainly no sniper, but when I'm forced to fire in semi auto to conserve ammo (as with all GBBRs) it's nice to have some satisfying precision, enough even to justify my 4x32 optic :D
