Hello, I've been interested in Airsoft for little over a year and a half now. I have been out to a few fields and played around 6 or 7 games in total.

I decided it was time for me to join an Airsoft fourm, and I'd like to ask for assistance. I'm not too sure on where I should post about requesting assistance/advice from veteran/frequent airsoft players about; loadout gear, guns, and what manufactures are best to go with.

I already have an idea on what sort of loadout I want to go with, but have no idea what manufactures are best. I can post pictures of the referance pictures from a video game ((Yes I'm one of them type. but the gear is what I would like to run)).

Any assistance would be appreciated!

I like Helicon for kit that is not cheap and nasty and also not overpriced. all the Helicon kit I have has lasted very well. Viper is a bit hit and miss, some stuff holds up ok for the price, others is an absolute let down. There are some lovely hi-end kit which I am lusting after, namely UF PRO for some of their trousers. As with the guns, you do get what you pay for mostly but some companies rely on their brand name to fob off crap quality gear.

I'm slightly aware of gun maufactures, however not completley clear of them. I should do some research on them but thank you for the heads up about that :)

As for gear, I've heared some good stuff about Helicon, and Condor is they're any good. I'm mainly looking for something that isn't too heavy or light, something similar to this: http://imgur.com/V0P5CKW

Although its a model from a game, It is the best way I could show on what I'd like to run. Issue being is not knowing what to buy :l I don't want to be a pain or anything, but, but is there specific plate carriers/chest rigs I should avoid? or any that are decent and well made?.

I tried to re-create what is in that picture above by grabbing bits and bobs from differant sites, but I'm not particulary sure if what I'm going to pay for is going to last me. As a friend of mine bought a chest rig that completley fell apart within a week of him purchasing it.

I've looked around on Amazon, Ebay, Military1st and some Airsoft stores, but still have trouble as there isnt' any walk in airsoft or ex-military shops nearby to me that I could go in and browse.

More or less yes. However I'm still stuck between black or Coyote Brown. Of which there are little coyote brown chest rigs out there that match in correct colour. So I may just end up going with Black.

And this is the Russian assault from battlefield 3 ^ ^ Tha camouflage I have chosen already, which is also very hard to grab hold of.

The one on the Left: http://imgur.com/0WooywJ

As you can see, the chest rig is a slight shade of brown, but I'm not too sure if having a black chest-rig would effect it :c

I'd love to see your complete loadout though once you've completed it! The American Enginner is pretty cool from Battlefield 4 ^ ^

Awesome, never thought of doing Russian Battlefield kits. Obviously US impressions are more popular but the rifleman loadout is expensive to do (accurately)

As already said Condor and Helikon are good for the money. There's Flyye as well but it can get ridiculously expensive (some of their PCs are like £300, could buy FirstSpear, Tactical Tailor etc for that kind of crazy money)

Warrior Assault Systems, of course, is another. Look on UK Tactical for their stuff. Some of the best value mil-spec stuff especially when it's on offer.

Looks surprisingly (or maybe deceptively) simple to replicate tbh - apart from sourcing the camo. PC even looks like an MBSS to me. You will notice Russian SF are very western in terms of gear these days.

Alright man, Thanks for the tips, I'll take a look a Flyye Gear and all.

:D

But yeah, I see far to many American based loadouts, I'd rather go with a loadout a little closer to home for myself ^ ^

Welcome aboard mate, Mr B is spot on, the Warrior stuff is awesome quality, well worth the money, Helikon is good quality and you can find lots of UK companies on the web, such as military 1st or Helmet World or Flecktarn.co.UK where you can pretty much any camo. Also try eBay as lots of companies use it.

I think Russian loadouts look better with assault vest rather than molle vests or plate carriers. I think that the British army chest tig looks awesome in a russian loadout.

^ Kinda defeats the point of having a "Russian loadout" but if that's what you like then more power to you.

Anyway, on topic. Welcome to the forum and airsofting in general mate! Be prepared to spend a lot of money as proper Russian kit can either be dirt cheap or jaw droppingly expensive. An interesting loadout you've chosen so I've taken the plunge and looked for some of the bits you'll want.

AK mag pouches:

Dump pouch:

Large pouch on side of rig could either be this:

Or this in black:

http://frontowiec.com/index.php?p1653,pkm-2-pouch-molle

The helmet I'm pretty certain (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is a regular PASGT with velcro and NV mounts added to it. Here's a plain one:

Grenade pouch on belt could either be this:

http://www.military1st.co.uk/1436b-maxpedition-double-frag-grenade-pouch-black.html

Or a black version of this:

The problem with a lot of video game loadouts is the game designers choose things for how they look rather than if they actually exist. You're lucky that this one you've chosen has a lot of bits that can be replicated with either Russian or Western kit - giving you more source options whilst retaining the SF look you are going for.

you going for a Russian assault class look form battlefield 4? Nice. i looking for something close to the American engineer from Battlefield

That geezer just looks like one of the embassy siege sas guys, all black with single cartridge gas mask. would be an awesome loadout for airsoft but you'd be boiling hot.
