Indieboi918
I'm looking at getting some ARES Mid-caps for my G36C and I've heard that you need to lube a midcap magazine to help it feed properly. Any advice on good lube to use/ how to use it/ how often? Thanks, Steve
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted November 17, 2010 Supporters Share Posted November 17, 2010 Don't need to lube. You need to lube GAS mags, and the confusion may have arisen due to similar capacities of BB's
Supporters Matt! Posted November 17, 2010 Supporters Share Posted November 17, 2010 I've heard a little silicon spray can help the feeding mechanism, could be wrong though.
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted November 17, 2010 Supporters Share Posted November 17, 2010 won't hurt, can only do good (unless that stuff gets on the BB's and then gets in your hop up internals), but I've never lubed mine and never had any problems either. JerseyRider
It dont matter if you get lub in your HU i mean i put a quick spray in there before a game it helps lube key areas
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted November 17, 2010 Supporters Share Posted November 17, 2010 if the lube gets on the inside of the rubber it decreases friction and makes it considerably harder to get consistent results. also decreases the effiecency of the HU (need more to do the same HU amount, lowering effective FPS)
abbadon101
A little silicone spray and then load it and empty it a couple of times to getting it running smoothly is recommended. I use mids all the time and they have jammed in the past when I have neglected their maintenance.
