What is it they say about first impressions? :D

Will there be a working link added soon?

I remember a while ago someone else started a thread about hydrographics, I believe this was the link to their site.

Thats the official twitter page. Just tried it on another pc and www.twitter.com/WBHydrographics comes up no problem, are you on twitter? If so I can follow you. Facebook and google won't find anything as we aren't on facebook and don't have a website yet as it is under development. Sorry for any inconvenience

How much would you charge to do a USP Compact? In A-TACs (Urban) camo?

People often compare hydrographics to painting and expect them to be similar in prices. The difference being hydrographics follows every step a normal paint job would be, plus the layer of transfer too, hence the reason its sometimes pricey. Shinobi I agree a lot of companies seriously over charge. I was on another forum where a guy was talking about a shotgun he had dipped, just the stock and pump and he'd paid £260. That even stunned me! We obviously have our prices, but seriously our main goal is to produce high quality work at affordable prices. In this day and age a lot of the wants in life get replaced with needs. We're trying to bring that work / play balance down as we aren't out to make millions of this!

Suzuki Yamamoto... Unfortunately A-TACS urban camo isn't available, however there is a range of urban camo that we can do, but your looking at about £40 plus postage.

Lozart... the self kits are ok, often overpriced for what you get. We don't sell them for that simple reason! Plus you need to get the basics right and understand the science behind it to achieve an ultimate result. But if your not to fussed about the finish and just want to have a go then thats what the DIY kits are for

Interesting, as I understand it it's basecoat, dip (with transfer) then spray with activator, clear coat. I don't see how that is in any way more complex than a paint job (to be fair and open I'm also a part time custom painter). Granted getting the transfer to lay flat and not crease is probably tricky at first and getting the activator right certainly seems to be where most of the first timers fall down. I was looking purely as an add on service for what I already do and out of curiosity. One of my buddies has a hydrographic finished Dytac and it's already chipping off.

For the simple reason that it is a paint job plus transfer film. You still have to smooth, prime, basecoat, then complete the hydrographics process, then clearcoat. When you say already chipping off I presume its not been on very long, in which case I imagine it was a cheap clear coat, not a 2k anti scratch... although if you think the process is trying to get the film to fit before activating them someones doing something wrong! lol, but anyway i guarantee my work and haven't had a come back yet! I highly recommend you do look into it though even if only for personal use! :)

It's on a Dytac in ATACS FG. Doesn't look like there's any particularly decent clearon it at all truth be told. I assume you're using a matt 2K?
