BBgunsforless Scam or Not?

I'm not sure if this is the right location to post this topic, if not please move.

If possible, anyone who has had an experience with this site could you please let me know? I have been awaiting my gun for a good few weeks and there is no sign of dispatch. I have tried several times to make contact via phone, email and messaging on the website without any response. As stated on their website that orders are dispatched within 24 hours seems to be incorrect, if I recieve no contact with them. In the next few weeks I will be most definatly contacting trading standards, and will be informing BBgunsforless of this and hopefully they may consider giving me a refund or sending my gun.

I am very disappointed with this site and expected a lot more considering I spent a large sum on a gun.

Any experiences will be much appriciated!

Cheers.

As a rule of thumb, never buy from sites with the word 'BB guns' in their name. Another site, JustBBGuns, has a lot of negativity- they prey on airsoft's beginners, exaggerating the stats of their products and claiming a £10 spring pistol to be 'professional' and 'powerful'. It's known that JBBG sometimes scam their customers- one member on here had to take them to the small claims court or threaten them with it just so he could get a refund. It's also believed that they bribed the UKARA association for the ability to sell RiFs.

Either way, don't bother with BBGuns4Less or JustBBGuns. They are extremely unprofessional and they take advantage of beginners who have little to no knowlege of the sport- they even go as far to filter all of the negative comments about their products out.

Not sure that the site/seller is a scam but they do sell a lot of cheap stuff that would not be suitable for skirmishing. They also seem to only sell two-tones but do sell some that should be OK.

Their pricing looks odd for some items - e.g. they are selling the ICS L85 A2 at a claimed discount of £125.00 but you can buy the same item as a RIF for less than their claimed discounted price.

Watched a couple of the videos on products and they were poor quality and really gave no information about the guns.

Overall, no a site that inspiores confidence in making a purchase.

What did you buy and how did you pay? If payment was by credit card then you could ask your card company to get involved as they are liable if you do not receive the goods.

I would not wait a few weeks before upping the anti on this. Why not send a letter by recorded delivery asking for confirmation of despatch and setting out the time since you paid and the dates/methods of your requests for information. Show at the bottom of the letter that you have copied trading standards and your card company - that should get a response.

JustBBguns has had a lot iof negative comments on this forum and they did make ridiculous claims for their cheap guns. Since they have started selling RIFs they have improved their site and now rank their guns - the cheap ones are generally shown as being for fun/garden plonking and on up to guns suitable for skirmishing. Much more honest now but it will probably take a long time before they can shake off the negatives.

For serious airsofters there are plenty of good, reputable suppliers who do not deal in the cheap end of the market. If I was buying over the internet i would only use one of those. If i lived very close to JustBBguns then I might buy from them as it would be easy to go back to the shop if there were any problems.

I think as with all of these companies, you need to be looking the way they're selling stuff, rather than what they're selling (and at what price). They sell the Double Eagle M56c, which is an excellently made clone of one of the TM M3 - Double Eagle are usually pretty awful when it comes to rifles, but I must say that, from the reviews I've seen, and from what I've heard back, it's working pretty damn well. I purchased one last week for my younger brother to use while he's back in the UK with grandparents and transaction/delivery was apparently very smooth indeed.

The gun hasn't gone wrong yet, so obviously I'm yet to test their customer support, but as said above, just remember that as a general rule, the support provided by many companies with 'BB' or 'Cheap' in the name, is pretty awful. So long as nothing goes wrong, you'll be fine, but once something does, then you're often left stranded.

And a lot can go bad with cheapy clones.

I had one of them from before I started buying proper guns, and it only worked with 0.12g BBs despite being advertised to work with 0.2g BBs

They may not be a scam, but their guns are not skirmish standards, you may find out that your gun is a pile of s***

Mmmmmm this place is close to me, so i might have to pop down and have a laugh at the stuff they are selling. Also the area looks like is right next to a big gypsy site which might say something about the people running it. As i would no way setup anything that sell Replica firearms near such people.
