Shinobi
You can have the gun I linked two toned, I think there's an option when checking out, it'll up the price by around £20 and extend the delivery time by up to two weeks, but the gun is rock solid. 01 Two Toning is free
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted July 10, 2013 Supporters Share Posted July 10, 2013 Sweet. I've never bought a two tone so I just took a rough, worst case scenario, guesstimate.
YoungAirsofter13
As well as a starter out of the box gun, is it a good quality, fps and range weapon because I am not the fastest of teenagers so I don't want 2 be having 2 go right up behind the enemy to hit them

YoungAirsofter13
Hey I have just watched a vid about the g&g cm16 combat machine and every one is saying it is a bad gun is it true
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted July 12, 2013 Supporters Share Posted July 12, 2013 No, it isn't true. G&G are one of the most respected manufacturers. There is literally nothing they make which is actually bad, just some stuff is not as good as other products. What you have to consider is how much a Combat Machine costs and what else you could get for the money - since nobody in the UK is stocking the CYMA CM.028(x) range anymore, there really isn't another gun that'll be as good straight out of the box... But yeah, they are plastic AEG's with well made but average components: compared to anything carefully upgraded, or anything plenty more expensive, you will notice a lesser performance. The thing is that it's not by much usually. It's only the really expensive upgrades / guns that are obviously loads better than those which we mere mortals can afford, but even so, you can hold your own with an average gun, no probs. Right lads/lasses?
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted July 12, 2013 Supporters Share Posted July 12, 2013 Yeah, the key point is that for the price you pay to get one, you'll be holding your own fighting against people who have guns that cost 3 times the amount. They are ludicrously good, for the price you pay. The value for money is untold, considering you could buy a Systema M4 for £800-1200, you'll still need to upgrade that in order for it to perform at the level you'd expect from the initial cost. But with a G&G Combat Machine, an M4 made of plastic costing barely £100, you'd pick it up and fire it down a range, expecting it to be shit because it's cheap and made of nylon fibre. But, if people are honest with themselves, if no one told them otherwise, a lot of people would expect it to be a gun worth between £175 and £300. When you can get one for as little as £100. I honestly think G&G could sell them for over £150 and they'll still get good reviews and still have people saying they were good value for money, because they really really are. From first hand experience, when I set up my airsofting society at Uni, 90% of the people who signed up and never been airsofting before, so we all went, 3 times, sorted out everyone's UKARA etc etc. Three of them all bought G&G Combat Machines for £140 from Zero One, their performance was nigh on identical to a G&P full metal M4 CQB that I paid £240 for. I felt like I'd been conned. They paid £100 less, for what was essentially the same gun made of plastic. I had to confirm with them that they'd all bought the plastic one as well, the weight is quite surprising, they look very convincing, pretty much the only obvious give away is that they don't get as hot as metal when you leave them out in the sun. Since most people wear gloves when they're playing, they'd never even know it wasn't a metal gun. In short, anyone who says they're bad must've been dropped as a baby. Or have some sort of illogical grudge against them.

After that I take them to a shop (pro airsoft supplies are excellent) and tell them to buy a G&G combat machine, they all say 'oh but won't this metal gun be better?' no, it won't. Get a G&G, shoot the crap out of it and when you've been playing for a bit invest in something a little bit more realistic but don't expect it to shoot any better because unless you spend serious money (£500+) you're not going to get a better gun than a G&G CM. Zak Da Mack
What battery should i use for the G&G cm16 8.4v 1600mAh NiMH battery, should last you a whole day unless you're trigger happy. You could use a 9.2v which would increase your ROF but will wear out your gearbox much quicker
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted July 26, 2013 Supporters Share Posted July 26, 2013 9.6V Zac means. I had a look on Z1 for you, but although they stock some Vapex batteries, they don't have the one you want. Which is this 'un. Assuming that is that the gun is front wired for a battery hidden in the handguard. If you get a rear wired one, then crane stock guns need a crane stock, also known as a nunchuck, battery, while full stock guns can take just about any mini 8.4V packs or the larger cell size that can be anything from 2200mAh to about 5000. Anyhoo, if you buy Vapex batteries, you will not be disappointed.
YoungAirsofter13
Are most short guns like a mp5 good for woodland and cqb
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted July 27, 2013 Supporters Share Posted July 27, 2013 I reckon most shorter weapons, like SMG's, would need a couple/few upgrades for woodland. AEG's in UK get sold with a 1 Joule spring usually, or less powerful, like an M90. A shorter barrel gets less of the available power behind the BB, because it has left the muzzle before the air has finished expanding behind it. For woodland range can be quite important, so you want your gun firing consistently just under the site FPS limit if possible (unless its a TM or has a TK Hop Twist barrel). Upgrades you'd want are a tight bore barrel and, depending on how good your air seal and hop are, an air seal nozzle with internal O-ring and maybe a better hop rubber. You still might want a 105 spring also, to get up to around 345FPS.
YoungAirsofter13
This probably sounds stupid but can you put a miracle barrel on smgs/mp5 cuz I really like the smaller mp5 kinda guns but I want to have a longer barrel for accuracy and distance so is it possible on either a Pro. Aeg 555 or mp5 if not on those smgs is there other ones that fit miracle barrels. One other thing is there any smgs for under £

YoungAirsofter13
Hey guys, I have already got 3 people in my team including myself, if any of you guys know some teens who want to join my team, tell them my email is:[email protected] and if you can try and make it so they live only around 1 hour from derby Thnx
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted July 28, 2013 Supporters Share Posted July 28, 2013 AFAIK, and that isn't that far, Miracle Barrels are for sniper rifles and DMR's, high FPS guns shooting heavier BB's. If you're after an upgrade barrel for an SMG, a Madbull Black Python V2 6.03mm would be a good choice - good reputation, not bad price, and easily available in most lengths in the UK. If you want to get more performance and don't mind having to stick to very good ammo, such as no less quality than ASG Blaster BB's, you could get a Madbull Ultimate Al 7075 6.01mm barrel. If you've got a lot of money to spend, get a PDI barrel. ICS do some MP5's for under £180, just search on Fire Support There's a Umarex UMP, but IIRC I recently read someone saying they are sh!t. Only £130 though, so possibly a good platform for upgrades. There's a Tokyo Marui Uzi 9mm, but it costs about £200 You could always get a Tommy Gun. The shape of battery will depend on the gun you get, but Vapex (VP) are the most reliable brand in my experience.

Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted July 28, 2013 Supporters Share Posted July 28, 2013 Are miracle barrels even on sale anywhere in the UK? I only discovered them about 2 weeks ago when AirsoftGI made a video on them. I'm not particularly convinced they even work, their test with them was woefully bad.
