I don't know what firearm specific lube would be good, but I would think automotive brake paste would be ideal. Not 'copper slip' as the metal content is likely to cause wear, but one of the newer generations of brake paste. Advantage of it is it's designed to work at very high temperatures (far higher than any airsoft gun should be reaching) without breaking down and running off of what it's meant to be lubricating. I may very well be talking out my arse when I recomend it for this application, but just a thought.

GBBR internals are more likely to suffer from very low temperatures than high ones, since the gas cools as it expands.

I always used regular silicone lube and it worked fine, though I think a lot of the time you don't need to worry about lubing the mechanism as if you're using green gas, the lube in the gas will do it for you.

If you use anything oil based then you'll bugger all the o-rings in the mechanism and end up with a FUBAR gas system, hop rubber and magazines.
