Ah - so not so much an "airsoft version of a real LMG", but an actual Airsoft LMG - in this case, absolutely your gears and motor are the way to go. You'd want to be able to run an 11.1 (which necessitates a MOSFET). I must say 45RPS sounds crazy though,. Matas17 are you sure that's what you're getting? That's way up there in actual M134 minigun territory. You must burn through boxes of BBs like hot potatoes!

Another way to raise airsoft ROF without sacrificing FPS is to offset a weaker spring with a tighter barrel. Of course, you have to make sure you're using the best quality BBs though otherwise you raise the risk of a jam (and if it's anything like what matas17 says he has, you'll have about 0.5 of a second before your entire barrel is full of jammed BBs

@AshOnSnow 45 is max i got it up to, without using higher then 11.1v lipo even tho Gate Titan can use up to 14.8v batteries. and for example my mate has stock G&G predator i replaced his stock g&g motor with SHS high torque, his gun was previously shooting 33rps. When i changed the motor it went all the way up to 50 somehow o_o and i swear to god i havent tinkered with internals on his gun.
