  1. There have been many stories about people's experience with stupid/silly/inexperienced players. Although they are very amusing and enjoyable stories, there is a lack of the contrary, mainly because awesome players are much harder to come by, or more easily go unnoticed. I would just like to hear your stories on times when your jaws dropped after witnessing someone else busting some awesome moves. For myself, I was at this indoor sites, and locked in a 7v7 stalemate at a corridor. Attempts were made by both teams to push and rush and flank, but to no avail. Then 5 minutes in, a guy who was on the other side of the doorway 5minutes ago appeared behind us and knifed all our asses. he somehow managed to run all the way around the site, bypassing and kiling our team-mates on the way. Yes, its very nooby of us to not watch our own backs, but I must give that guy some credit...
  2. That video made me very happy . Awesome vid. I lol'd so hard when I saw the muzzle flashes.. don't know why.
  3. Is it okay to wearing hiking boots for airsofting? I do long hikes (4-5days) occasionally and have acquired some Meindl Burma boots. They are very good hiking boots, but never worn them to airsoft games. Too scared that they'll get shot to bits, and I think they might be too stiff for running around.
  4. Second that. Good price, trusty, and easy to use.
  5. Most people are happy to speak to newcomers, or in fact any airsoft 'comrades'. Just ask people about their gear, cuz everyone loves to show off!
  6. When I really like something, even though its way over priced and over spec'd, I can come up with a million justifications to buy it. Damn you brain!
  7. I am really liking the Midland G9E...
  8. What headphone jacks do they take?
  9. Thanks for all your help and advice, really appreciate it! Loving this community! Motorola is a bit of a turn off, as their radios only have a single 2.5mm hole, and the adaptor is quite expensive (on amazon at least). So I might as well go for the over kill and get the BF-888, unless I come across any better ones... not Binatone though, apparently. Cobras and Midlands do come up a lot, and have good reviews. Anybody has experience with them? Edit: Also, has anyone heard of a booket called "MTW Voice Procedure". Not sure what the MTW stands for, but I remember it from my cadet days. It had pretty good instructions on radio communication.
  10. Actually, whiles on this topic is there much point using radios for CQB (I've seen many people using them in CQB). If so, would the motorola be sufficient? or are radios useless indoors anyway?
  11. I have three choices - Baofeng H-777, BF-888 or Motorola T60. They are all around the same price on amazon. The H-777 and BF888 allow a 3.5mm 2 pin speaker mic that could take a set of bouncer earpiece. But T60 only allows a 2.5mm 1 pin (apparently), and its hard to find such a speaker mic. The T60, however allows the selection of a wide range CTCSS on the 8 channels, and has a monitor, whereas the Baofengs only has 16 channels, and requires programming. What do you guys suggest?
  12. So the CTCSS will have to be programmed into it as well? Like say I program PMR 446.00625 to memory channel 1, then 446.00625 CTCSS code 1 to memory channel 2, then 446.00625 CTCSS code 2 to memory channel 3, etc etc etc? Then 16 memory channels isn't a lot. From what I remember as a kid, a basic motorola can do all 8 channels with up to 26 CTCSS each or something.
  13. If I did get the BF888, how can I select different CTCSS codes on the memorised PMR channels?
  14. Then what the hell is the point? Edit: Also, there is Analogue PMR (8 channels), Digital PMR (16 channels), and Digital TDMA (8 channels). What is the difference, and do I need to worry about them?
  15. I am getting more and more confused... Take for example this random PMR446 radio I found: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Midland-G5-Licence-Comtech-Headsets/dp/B009UJ2M4E/ref=sr_1_29?ie=UTF8&qid=1412533132&sr=8-29&keywords=2+way+radio+pmr446 It says it has 8 channels - but has 968 channel combinations. WTF? Then say I bought this Baofeng BF-888 radio: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Baofeng-BF-888S-Transceiver-Illumination-Flashlight-black/dp/B00BPNUJDY/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1412534683&sr=1-1&keywords=BF+888 It only has 16 memory channels. Does that mean that I have to arrange the frequency/channel (are they the same thing?) beforehand so I can programme it to match the PMR446 radios?
  16. Hello, I seems to have hijacked Nacoma's thread. So here is a new one. So I've read a few different threads, and here's what I've gathered. -Dont get Baofengs, or UHFs, they need a licence -Get Motorola, binatone, or any other PMR446 radios. -Get a radio with iVOX/VOX settings -Don't get military replica I realised that different PMR446 radios offer different number of channels. How many channels will I need, and will they be compatible with different makes and models? Cheers
  17. What about using something like this? http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/04/60/14/29/0004601429871_500X500.jpg So that I don't have to buy two separate things, and my voice may also be transmitted better, as the mic will be closer to the mouth. Please share your experience
  18. Just realised how wrong that sounds...
  19. Shoot at your duvet? I dry fire occasionally, just once or twice to test, even though I was told it's bad... I just thought its odd that Marui would make a device for dry firing if its bad.
  20. Isn't dry firing bad...? Or have I been lied to?
  21. Or shoes. Or handbags and shoes combined. Also, tell her that the number of guns in your procession is directly related to your masculinity, and hence your performance in bed.
  22. Increasing from 350fps to 400fps involves around 30% increase in kinetic energy. If you do the hop up, nozzle, etc right, it could give you improvements in pellet stability and range.
  23. I think I am guilty of that... Sometimes, when my blood is 99% adrenaline, and someone jumps out of a corner with a gun pointed at me, my first reaction would be to point and double tap them. And its quite often that they'll pull the trigger first, and me half a second behind. We both call hit, then I think "Wait, didn't he hit me first?". I would then proceed to feel guilty for the whole day.
  24. Well, apparently, they callsign their AC-130 gunships 'Steel Rain'...
