Hi ya,
I have a set of shs 12:1 gears in a Vfc gearbox, completely standard otherwise.
I’ve bought a zci 22tpa 18k high torque motor i want to fit.
at what stage do I need to worry about PME? I use a 9.9v life and a m100 spring.
so my question is will the set up be ok or do I need to short stroke?
thanks in advance for any advice.
When I personally build gearboxes for myself I rarely short stroke anymore and leave gears alone, just have it well shimmed, aoe sorted and rof turned up or turned down on gate titan software. In rare occasion when i want to see how fast of and ROF I can reach that I short stroke gears. At the moment my vfc mcx gearbox is short stroked by 2 teeth on 13:1 gears and i get around 35rps.

I know it might be a long shot but those of you who have das gbls ever done any research into brushless motors for gbls, I know they are in production by gbls but who knows when will they launch and I'm sure they will cost a pretty penny. I am trying to do bit more research on them and see if anyone is making them or had modified existing brushless motor by installing longer shaft in it.

A lot of airsoft retailers, UK and mainland Europe, seem to use DHL so it may be worthwhile checking if they can do it with insurance for you (for example Novritsch use DHL for RIF's shipped to the UK).
its gone be fun seeing how much it would cost to ship it all across

Just to check Republic of Ireland? If so you can't bring your RIFs over importing RIFs with out a defence is illegal. Options are paint your guns two tone, leave your guns in Ireland until you have gained your defence ( gain your UKARA number by attending 3 games at a registered site in no less than two months). If you have a trusted friend in the UK with a defence ask them to receive them for you, Contact a site you intend to play at and see if they will receive them for you.
North actually, I've got ukara. I have shipped with parcelforce before but recently I've got an email saying they dont insure airsoft so that's bad since I've got few high end aeg's and rather not risk them being damaged in transport. I was thinking of packing them up and having my causing transport the with his lorry but who know what customs would do seeing quite a few rifles in a lorry.

Hello everyone,
So here's a problem next year I'm moving from Ireland to UK and was wondering what would be best way to ship the gear, airsoft rifles, etc across the water as I'm quite sure I could not bring some of the stuff onto airplane without having some sort of issues.
Anyone here have moved across the water or to a different country and would be willing to give a helpful advice to a fellow airsofter?

Why did you change all of those parts, aside from the broken nozzle?
At first look, without knowing more specific info, FPS issues like this tend to be related to either the nozzle or the tappet plate.
If you have the original nozzle still, compare it to the new one for nozzle wobble and length. Too long or too short can both cause FPS changes.
The tappet controls how far back the nozzle is pulled, and how far forward it goes. Make sure the tappet profile matches the original exactly, or it could easily be the root of your problems. If it is too long or too wide, the nozzle extension could be limited. If the tappet is too short or small, it could limit return motion or even potentially push the BB past the hop rubber.
Try the original barrel and hop packing in different combos with the new barrel and hop packing. It’s pretty common to see Maple Leaf rubbers have too thick of “shoulders” and so cause the barrel to be pushed backwards further than normal in the hop unit. This simulates the nozzle being shorter than it should be, by moving everything else farther away.
I bought that mp7 as it was boneyard and mosfet was fried, tappet plate was broken so I decided to change it and sort it out. I got it working and back to 295fps with 0.25s after changing the spring. Now the only issue I find is that it sometimes shoot burst/full auto in semi on full trigger pull, if i just pull trigger once and release it shoots semi.
-
So I have an issue where my vfc mp7a1 is shooting 150-160 fps on 0.25s. I replaced following parts
Broken vfc nozzle with ERGAL nozzle for vfc mp7a1
Main spring with original vfc mp7a1 spring
New gears
Bullgear CNC tappet place and delay chip pack
Bucking to maple leaf yellow and original inner barrel with maple leaf 200mm tight bore
I've checked the gears, piston/piston head, cylinder and cylinder head multiple times. Airseal is perfect, yet same issue is there and I am running out of ideas as to what to do and what needs to be changed. -

Might be something I have a look at (buy) if the results from the prommy are rubbishI honestly have nothing bad to say about Maple leaf, when it is used with their flat nub it works perfectly.

After much more research, I will stay with the unit, but will try the maple leaf super macaron bucking.
Good choice honestly. Maple leaf never dissapointed me yet, I have prommy purple in mine before but results were not as consistent as i woul of liked then switch to maple leaf macaron 60 and was happy ever since.

Hi all. I am going to replace the hop up for my TM NGRS scar h. I have started to service my AEG and I was going to buy the Laylax purple hop rubber with nub. I am a techy, so have no problem doing it, but I noticed this, which looks interesting.anyone used this. Anyone had hands on with this?
What are your thoughts?Kind Regards
In my opinion I have to agree with @SBoardley. TM ngrs hop unit is perfect and works flawlessly, I had my ngrs for last 3 and a half years and only things hopup wise i changed were, hop nub, hop bucking and inner barrel. At the moment I am using maple leaf nub, maple leaf super macaron 60 bucking and ZCI 6.02 steel tight bore and results are amazing. I can easily hop anything i put into it and range is around 50 to 60 metres with 300mm tight bore barrel.

I am wondering what is going on right now, I checked my slide plug with recoil spring and it seems that spring is really right to get inside slide plug for the spring. Any way I can sort this out ?

So I have my boots for a while and I honestly can't remember the brand as they are your typical hiking boots. But recently I noticed they are not as a grippy as I would like them to be especially when running on wet surfaces. So my question is does anyone have recommendations for a decent pair of boots within a budget of lets say £150, that would be comfortable and if possible at least be water resistant.

So let me start of with the fact that I love my warrior dcs but I also have an issue. So I typically have my dcs little bit tight but not too tight around my body so it doesn't wiggle but the issue stems from the fact that most of the time sides of my dcs always dig into my waist when i lean to the left or right even when standing up or crouched and after a while it starts to become uncomfortable. Anyone else has ran into this sort of an issue and what were your solutions to solve it?

If you're happy with the DCS and general Warrior quality then get a couple of the placards they do and put on the pouches of your choice.
Otherwise, anything by Ferro, PIG, Spiritus, Haley Stategic, Mayflower etc will be plenty good enough! The main thing will be getting the adaptor/velcro panel to get the placard attached in the first place. You could do a lot worse than the AXL advanced system https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/axl-adaptive-vest-placard-avp-for-jpc--airlite-spc--molle-carriers-33314-p.asp with https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/axl-advanced-velcro-loop-adapter-35541-p.asp
AXL velcro adapters are out of stock sadly and can't find any warrior one's anywhere

How much do you want to spend? There's literally hundreds of decent placards out there!
https://www.uktactical.com/p-12028-warrior-detachable-molle-front-panel-multicam.aspx
Or of course, you could get one of the plethora of micro rigs and use that as a placard. That would give you plenty of flexibility by simply swapping out the inserts.
to be honest i can go as high as £150 if quality is there.

If you're sticking with the DCS, your best bet would be to get a placard adaptor for the MOLLE front flap. Basically it's a molle backed sheet of velcro loop. Then you can put a couple of side release buckles (the female bit) onto the "bib" area and use aftermarket placards to swap loadouts.
Something like this https://www.wtfidea.com/placard-adapter-pals-molle-vest-velcro-loop-field/
TMC also do something similar for less money or AXL Advanced do something much the same for more money. Take your pick!
I love my warrior dcs and would much rather stick with it, but have hard time finding good quality molle panels or anything that would work well. If you can could you give me some links or what not to help me out here.
