    is there a difference between a sniper barrel and an AEG barrel? Specifically the hop up end?

      Depending on what gun it's for, yes.

      VSR barrels use a different bucking style compared to AEGs, so the hop window is fully open.

      Or at least somewhat smaller, depending on the make, with different grooves to attach the bucking.
