Yeah, I went to take the slide off and have a look, and suddenly I couldn't rack it back at all. Only took a quick look to see what the issue was at that point.
-
There was plenty of gas, turned out the fake firing pin and mechanism at the back of the slide was preventing the slide from moving back after gun was fired, so the gas would just slowly vent. I took that piece out and she fires fine.

So, this is the issue I'm having with my we xdm pistol. If anyone knows how to fix this I'd be highly grateful if you could link/tell me. VID_20210705_200748.mp4

So about 2 years ago I had my king arms sig rebuilt after I blew apart my piston head (I rushed building it and forgot to lock tight the thread). She's currently firing about 320fps on 11.1 lipos .2g b's and a guarder sp100 spring (spring was fitted by shop). If I wanted to get as close to 350 as possible, would a 110 spring do the job, or would it be too much? Pretty much all of the air seal components were replaced when the gun was worked on, so the spring is the only thing I can think of that would be preventing me from getting 340fps or more. I'm going to a skirmish tomorrow and might be able to pick up a 110 spring and fit it during lunch, but I just wanted to check if it's more likely to be a problem elsewhere before I go ahead.
-
After watching a few videos, the King arms sig series does sound a little loud, I never really noticed it as its supposed to be electric blowback, but I had that disabled by firesupport when they worked on it so the motor etc would have a little less metal to move.
-
Going from videos, I've seen people with very quiet aegs, I just wasn't sure if I could make mine any quieter. I'm happy with it regardless. I should be after spending over 150 on repairs/upgrades.
-
Not 100% sure, haven't used it for more than 30 seconds at a time. I managed to sort the motor height adjustment with a bit of card (the grub screw had nothing to push on to move the motor as the screw was too short, this filled the gap and the motor moved). She sounds a little better after pushing the motor up a little. I doubt I'll ever get it dead quiet, but it's better.
-
So, for starters the motor height adjustment screw is knackered, but if I force it any higher than it is I can hear it grinding more, so it doesn't matter too much. Could it be that the gears are a little dry? It hasn't been serviced in about 2 years, and hasn't been used either.

Got my first skirmish in over a year since I had my gun completely rebuilt by firesupport, and I'm not too happy with how she sounds, very grindy. I'll post a short video so everyone can see what I mean. I might have time to do a shim job, or have firesupport do one, before the skirmish, but I only want to do/pay for it if it really needs it. Any other suggestions or things anyone notices in the video would also be appreciated. Also, I know the bodypin is just a bolt with a huge nut on the end, I know it looks stupid, the original bolt broke and king arms dont make parts for these anymore. video-1623664734.mp4

G and G cm16 Raider 2.0 bundle only fired to zero scope all unused

Selector plate spring replaced, fire selector working better, still only one shot in full auto but it doesn't have anywhere near as much resistance. The only thing I can think of is that the cut off lever isn't disengaging. I really don't want to have to buy a new gearbox or gun as this thing repeatedly out performs other peoples stock CM16's. I don't know what the guys before me did to this, all I did was cut down the barrel and add a lipo.
-
Well I think she's ex rental. The batteries were numbered and so was the gun, but she's performed better than I'd expected of a CM16. 350fps on the dot, surprising range and accuracy with my 7.4 lipo. I'll take the gearbox out next time I'm with the gun and see if just re-aligning the selector plat fixes the issue. If so I think i'll have to pick up a new set of selector plate springs.
-
If threadromancy is against forum rules I apologise, I didn't find anything about it. Back on topic, I managed to get my buffer tube off and have a look at the selector plate.....and the spring fell out, and is lost for all time. Luckily my friend had a very similar one and once put back together I had no problems pulling the trigger all the way in full auto, but could not test fire due to a wiring problem. I fixed the wiring problem but as I had to re-open the gun something has once again gone wrong. Could someone explain exactly how the selector plate and cut-off works? When I had the gearbox out, even with the original spring it seemed that the spring would not completely push the plate back to full auto if I pushed it to safe. Is this the problem? And if so does anyone know where I could get a replacement spring for my selector plate?

MkIV Osprey, just the vest. MTP Universal pistol holster with mag pouch WE Tech 886 Tan. Slowly getting ready to airsoft in the new year! -
well I ended up getting one of ebay for less than £30, then another £10 on a pistol holster. Turns out I don't need the pouches etc as my brother has got me a load. And from my experience with a friends osprey I really like them. I wanted to go for the heavy, well armoured british look.
-
So looking online I've found not one, ut TWO sets of full fighting order Osprey MkIV vests, one that apparently includes random pouches for less than the one that doesn't. My biggest concern is that the more expencive one without pouches is sold by a reputable surplus store online, while the cheaper one is on amazon....and called a Max fuch MKIV osprey. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00YLV5RRA/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_2?pf_rd_p=569136327&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00K7CBV0E&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=1S3NXPYGYW06GN17554R Anyone know if that's the real deal or not? Everything I find about Max fuch is the same, German retailer, same photo's, no reviews or full descriptions of the kit.
-
Yeah it's completely ruined. I've tried at least 6 different cross heads and they've all either spun or jumped out. Guess I'm gonna have to get a new stock tube now then? This £90 gun is starting to look a lot more expensive, and that's before I start putting the upgrades I want into her!
-
The gun has been fine since I got it, only £90. Just recently this happened. I now have two more problems. While trying to take the stock tube off I caught the wiring and now need to re-solder my deans connector back on (simple, I can do that), and I've also found that the screw that hole the stock tube on has been completely rounded off. I can't undo it. Does anyone know of any way to take the gearbox out with taking the stock tube off?
-
This is an ex hire gun I got online, and it doesn't move back far enough in auto to fire....most of the time. When it does it'll only fire one shot :/
-
so this problem started during my first ever time airsofting....wasn't helpful. She fires okay in semi, occasionally I'll pull the trigger and she'll stick a little but that I don't mind too much and I guess is linked to my main problem. I have no full auto. U pull the trigger and I don't even get any life from the battery. If anyone can give me any advice on this, what it could be, how to find out ec that'd be really helpful.
-
Well I'm getting one of the really short clones with the lump on the front for the battery, does anyone know if the kill flash will fit that one?
-
I'm currently the winning bidder on an Eotech replica for less than £10, and even if I don't win I'm buying one, and was wondering, do I need a flash kill or will I be alright with a cheap slot in clear lens protector? I just don't want my holo sight to shatter on my first skirmish, or ever really.

CM 16 Customisability (Just roll with it)
LazzurusMan replied to LazzurusMan's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
IT WORKED! With a little bit of filing and some other materials the metal outer barrel front from an old broken L85A1 springer fitted. I think this looks much better than the standard iron sights and now leaves me plenty of scope for optics etc. If you look carefully you can see the small mound of modeling/plumbers milliput I had to use to help secure the barrel. -

Found my dads old broken L85A1 springer and figured I'd take a look, does anyone think this MIGHT fit on the G&G CM16 Raider L where the front end of the outer barrel goes? I'm not overly worried if its not a perfect fit, it would just mean that for now I have no front sight in my way and wont need to buy another out barrel yet. My gun isn't with me atm or I wouldn't have asked you guys first! -
