    Tomorrow (well later this morning) I am catching the train to Langley (just past Slough) and then cycling 17 miles to the Road to Rome game on the most overloaded bike ever. 95% of the route is Grand Union canal towpath so should be flat, I hope.

      I often cycle on river paths (thames mostly) and always found them to be well bumpy although not steep, hope you didn't get rattled about too much!
