  1. managed to find a suitable washer and add extra tension to Matildas firing pin spring. No more misfires and significant improvement in power :)

      Good to hear she's working much better now :) I've looked for Lee Enfield scope mounts but they're all $40-$80-ish and I don't think you could get them so easily in the UK. Most of them look too modern as well.

      Seen those already. They're on about the Lee Enfield No. 4, I have the No.1 mk3. There is a hopeful looking groove and screw on the left hand side. I do wonder if I could get some metal bar the right size and screw it into the groove, then bolt the bar to an M14 type mount with some countersunk machine screws.
