My preference would be metal too but due to 1911s having ridiculously thin mags, the amount of gas they can take is very small compared to pretty much anything else. That means that with a metal slide they wont be efficient enough to really perform consistently for the entire thing. I'd say maybe consider a hicapa as it's very similar to a 1911 but the metal WE version of it is crap as well

so the metal kit for a tm is a bad idea.. you never know^^
