  1. A quick search had resulted in someone claiming "Rooavenger63" on Airsoft-Hub is actually Andy Page... This would certainly appear to also be @Rooavenger on Facebook... And who do we know on here that sounds like that? Mack's frequent flyer, @avenger63! As @Tackle said, not taking G&S is a massive 🚩 - regardless of bad experiences (which everyone can have), it's really the only way to offer a modicum of protection to both parties... but given who he appears to be on here, good luck 🤣
  2. 100 years of the 1911, originally - IIRC they brought out a more realistic / parkerized / better-engraved "new" version in 2017.
  3. What the hell is your problem, random dude? Do you just get off on repeatedly attacking people you don't know the first thing about? Is that how you get your rocks off, barking orders at strangers? Pathetic.
  4. When they've got close to £20k precariously sitting in a PayPal balance, and this election is supposed to help fix a lot of the issues covered in this post, yes it is. When a Constitution is the only thing that binds an unincorporated association, because they have no independent legal personality, then absolutely it matters. The fact that you "don't give a shit" and are arrogant enough to try and speak for others, just shows how ignorant and nonchalant you are in this matter -- so your feeble attempt at condescending tripe, really doesn't matter. Clearly you've never been involved in running such orgs, or you wouldn't be so flippant - but evidently you just had to jump in and have your little dig. Hope you think you're such a big, strong man for barking orders and saying your spiel 🙄 - I know I don't.
  5. More trolling from you, how unoriginal 🙄 I asked a relevant question about the Constitution being disregarded -- which is of paramount importance, given it's the only thing that binds the unincorporated association of UKAPU -- it's members and committee -- together. You, however, made a bunch of petty and unsolicited personal attacks - then thought to push irrelevant personal questions - when my membership of *any* org is neither relevant to the points I raised (or indeed this topic), nor any of your damn business. Oh, and I'm not your "bud," so drop the condescending BS - it's not big, it's not clever, and you're transparent af.
  6. No soapbox, and the only troll here is you -- stop projecting. If you were actually active you'd have know the answer, but apparently you're just here to sling mud and see what sticks. Me not being obsequious to the demands of an obvious toxic troll says precisely nothing about who I am or aren't a member of. Try harder next time, kid.
  7. Asking a question is neither "ranting" nor "judging," nor is it "demanding" answers - but keep making things up. As for the "ranting" claim, you really should look closer to home. Since you've been nothing but toxic and passive-aggressive, I'm hardly inclined to respond to you anyway - but which orgs I'm a member of are precisely none of your concern. When the trolling doesn't work, you just return to ad-hominems 🙄 Keep trying to stir things up when your trolling isn't working though, I'm sure you'll get somebody to bite one day 🎣
  8. Urgh, that's frustrating Fire Support are who I got my most recent lot from, and Frank there is great -- if you're wanting to ensure you've got the plastic nozzles, you could do a lot worse than order from them 😊 Good luck!
  9. Patrolbase are pretty responsive. If you called them, I'm sure they'd be happy to take a look at their stock and confirm not something I've ever personally seen on Predator Ultra, though.
  10. I never said UKAPU has "perpetrated" anything against me (you know what they say about assumptions, right? 🙄) and I'm not "incensed" with them -- I literally asked a question about the timescales for agenda and election not matching what the Constitution demands... not a complex or unreasonable thing to observe / question. No crusade, and no "rant" either, I put nobody "on trial" and didn't force anything on anyone, "dear" -- perhaps you'd do well to check yourself, before condescendingly trying to police others -- if you projected any harder, we'd be able to see you on the moon.
  11. I've responded to both the ex-chairperson (and remaining committee member) and new press officer on here, so direct committee communication is very relevant and proper, especially when it's in response to announcements that they make on here. I never said anything about getting any "change" on here, but asking a question of the person who helped draft and then published the announcement, is in no way unreasonable or outlandish, much less non-constructive. Attempting to police others for asking reasonable questions while not policing those resorting to personal attacks for merely asking relevant questions, really isn't a good look. If you'd read more of the thread, you'd have seen I'd already said about wanting to help improve things -- but that obviously can't happen without an election, or if the elections aren't valid. 🙄 Given the free membership tier anyway, I'd say that it's worth joining, in the hopes that recent communication improvements and a new committee will hopefully move things in a more positive and active direction Be careful, you might end up being attacked for daring to point that fact out, you "internet vampire" - that's how you destroy interest in UKAPU! 🙄 /s
  12. Last lot I received (2 days ago) was still plastic, and it's what they're currently showing on their website... I've never known them to have metal nozzles on the bottles, but they do manufacture a metal extension nozzle, if that's any help
  13. I've been out plenty, thanks! Some beautiful (if a little hot) airlifting days 😁 -- not that you actually cared, or were in any way sincere... 🤔 All I did was ask a valid, reasonable, and incredibly pertinent question... I'm not the one doing drive-by personal attacks, like you and your ilk. Since you apparently have nothing UKAPU-related to say here, next time saying something constructive or even just remotely on-topic, instead of doing trolling drive-bys... This just shows your true colors in the worst possible way.
  14. Ah, so not only am I not allowed to contribute to threads with pertinent information, you now speak for everyone as well? Ok, whatever you say dear 😂 Seeing as I asked an on-topic question, what's been "hijacked" is you and your ilk resorting to personal attacks rather than anything remotely nice, constructive, or even tangentially related to the UKAPU announcement, but keep going off 🙄 If your interest in something depends on nobody ever daring to point out a single imperfection or flaw in said thing, you must have a pretty uninteresting life. Between that and your needless attacks, I feel for you. Less keyboard warrior BS, more touching grass is needed -- go outside and play with your toys rather than seething in front of a screen
  15. I asked a simple question. You and your cronies are the ones "droning on," and trying to police others... that's much more "internet vampire" than anything else, but keep going off 🙄
  16. They're literally the UKAPU Press Officer speaking publicly after making the announcement publicly, in a thread about them *not communicating* -- this is as much an appropriate forum as any, given there are at least two committee members in the thread... but by all means be offended by a simple question Your so-called "kindness filter" seems to apply far too late... might want to take a look at that
  17. Yeah, heaven forbid I want the resulting election to actually be valid, so that threads like this don't exist any more... 🙄 Real mature of you.
  18. This still doesn't address that you're violating the Constitutionally-set timeframes for both agenda items and election nominations -- care to explain why that is?
  19. @Speedy Sloth I've worked in areas where "errors" are a lot more serious than simply "not sending emails on time" and have much greater punishments than "being reportable to industry regulators," but go off. Perhaps since you have it easier, you should "be glad" 🙃 There is no regulation that says a shop must send you a dispatch email, nor is there any "regulator" to report them to, never mind any kind of punishment for failing to send an email, whether through incompetence or human/system error... the idea of holding them accountable for something so trivial is ridiculous. Nobody is saying they "weren't concerned," simply that they weren't having a knee-jerk reaction and jumping to the worst possible conclusion... spelling mistakes happen frequently, and if your "3 years old" claim is simply based on the meaningless copyright date in the footer, that could easily be created when the template went up, and just be a text string at the time, i.e. not linked dynamically to the current year. No big deal. Within 48 hours you're writing ragey posts full of assumption and vitriol, and declaring it to likely be a scam because of *checks notes* some website parts not being updated, and not receiving a dispatch email... When it seems apparently they may well have been too busy actually dispatching the item, to keep to your ridiculous standards. If you think they're not going to admit they're a scam over the phone, and need it in writing, (1) you can record calls, and (2) they're not about to admit they're a scam in writing either, if that was the case 😂 Surely for someone who deals with such "regulation" you would realize that? If you're that worked-up and can't be bothered to pick up the phone, maybe pause for a moment of reflection before going off half-cocked on forum posts, then having your tail between your legs only a few hours later 😅 Oh, and people who make puerile remarks like @Rogerborg are seemingly just children with no grasp of decency or forum rules 🤷‍♀️
  20. Exactly this - phone or contact them. Plenty places prioritize their sales and working over proof-reading (or sometimes even updating) the website, and for all you know the order numbers could be from a new order-handling system... a bunch of rage and FUD when you've not got something within 2 days is a bit much... moreso when it turns up within 3 hours of your (frankly impatient) post. Are you... not used to a world where people are infallible, make mistakes, or something things don't happen? I had an order not be dispatched from a large and well-known supplier for the best part of a week, despite their site saying the process orders daily. Rather than complaining that they hadn't dispatched my order or responded to my initial email, I called them up. Item was supposed to be in stock, but they'd ran out. It happens. Somehow my order fell through the proverbial cracks, and I hadn't got a response or communication about the stock issue. Again, we're all human, these things happen. Supplier couldn't have been more apologetic, and overnighted a suitable alternative product at no extra charge. While it was odd that such a well-known place would've somehow "lost" my order like that / been incommunicado, I didn't feel I'd been "got," and certainly didn't feel the need to make a thread questioning how genuine or honest they are -- I simply called them up and got the matter resolved. A little patience goes a long way, grasshopper 😊 -- and if you take such umbrage with the feeling that they're "not great at communicating updates they state they will" then maybe tell them that, and give them a chance to explain / potentially rectify it in future? Plenty places don't actually send out dispatch emails. It's a minor annoyance, but hardly worth raking them over hot coals,
  21. Oh dear... You said it would be out by midday, then changed it to "today" without any notification or explanation, not the best transparency and "press" communication... The email that's just arrived says there's an AGM set for August 3, which is technically 28 days from today (as per Clause 8.4 of the Constitution) ... but Clause 8.3 says, (emphasis mine). As you're proposing having an AGM 28 days from today, which should be electing new Officers for UKAPU, you've completely failed to allow sufficient time for any "full members' to nominate themselves as candidates for election to the executive committee. Additionally, per Clause 8.5, the secretary requires at least 14 days notice of matters to be raised at the AGM (from full members only) -- which would be July 20, *not* July 24 as the email states. As such, your matters-to-be-raised date is 4 days later than it should be, and your submit-nominations-by date is way off, as they would have to have been received by June 19 as per the constitution. Considering the release was quietly delayed, presumably for last-minute proofreading or editing, it's rather concerning that you're failing to follow some of the most basic parts of the constitution, namely concerning the election of committee members / officers, and how AGMs are held and formed. @UKAPU Press Office any explanation on why it seems that between the interim chairman, interim vice-chairman, and press officer, there is such a substantial discrepancy in this basic organisation, that goes completely against what the Constitution states? Unincorporated associations are bound by the terms of the Constitution, but UKAPU still appears to be throwing it in the trash and making things up? (It's also worth noting that in this notification you've failed to provide a link to the Discord where the proposed AGM would be held, or confirmed when the completed agenda would be circulated to members... the substantial concerns noted above notwithstanding, it's a bit difficult for members to participate if you don't share with members how to attend, or confirm you'll actually provide them with agenda in sufficient time... the latter seeming unlikely, given the lack of regard afforded to the Constitution so far 🫤)
  22. Can you define "shortly," please? -- as it's coming up to 1.5 weeks since you claimed "Initial drafts of press releases concerning both the AGM and present structure of the committee have been written, and will shortly be reviewed prior to release" ...
  23. Seconding that Octagon are indeed legit, and have been doing this stock for a few years now 😊 https://www.popularairsoft.com/news/octagon-airsoft-spas-12-folding-stock
  24. Very much what @Pupa2794 and @BigStew said. Originally TM did the SPAS-12 as one of 3 packages -- with the folding stock, without the stock, or the stock on its own. They have occasionally appeared on the market, but they cost $$$. As an example, Octagon Airsoft (one of the first to make a clone for the TM SPAS-12), charge $120 for it -- you're sadly not going to find even clones coming in much cheaper. The ASG doesn't come with a stock (rigid or otherwise), nor does it have the mounting necessary for the TM/TM-clone folding stock), but at least one person has custom mounted one onto the ASG... If you're interested in the history, US Airsoft has a video which says a bit more about the rarity and usage of these stocks, and some pics of the original TM offerings from back in the day. TL;DR if you don't have a TM, it's possible for you to custom-fabricate a mount to support the TM stock... however, The TM stocks are rare af / like hen's teeth / rocking horse 💩 (delete as appropriate) The clones (made out of desperation from the lack of TM stocks) still cost $$$$$$
