    Trying to build a low-powered springer, but unfortunately I don't have the required spring: I bought 13mms thinking they were the correct ones for this piston but no luck. If anyone has one of the stock 11mm springs from a marui VSR, I'll happily buy it off you please!

    How long do they tend to last nowadays? I've considered buying bios, if only for the occasional site that requires them. But I go through ammo so infrequently I'd be concerned about it sitting open and unused for months and then coming back to it.

    I have to say, I've only done a couple; both by the lightfighter crew back in the day and really enjoyed the Halloween events! Pistol & shotgun only, which made things much more interesting, some cracking design and thought put into them and overall just great fun! Can't speak for any these days though; last one was about 2008/9

    Without tools, then I think you still can, providing you lack sausage fingers, but it's definitely more of a challenge. I've been using a small screwdriver just to make it easier, as Zarrin says.

    Well I had a bit of a shit day all in all, but one of the few decent bits was getting to test the new hop in the AK. It works, but perhaps *too* well if anything! I had to have it set to Minimum hop, with a 4uantum and using 0.32s to not get significant over-hop. Otherwise it seemed absolutely fine however, and worth the fairly low price.

    Are these a new release, or are they just what LCT AKs come with as standard?

    I should hopefully be going shooting this weekend, so fingers crossed it's running ok paired with a 4uantum bucking!

    I've had the same thought as you, and decided to take the plunge. I installed it into one of the Raven AK74s which have a similar, if not directly copied design from the later CYMA AK models. It was a little tight compared to the lonex Hop unit I had in previously but it did fit and feed fine. I've yet to actually skirmish with it, so I can't tell you how it actually performs but it does at least fit and feed ok.

    Wasn't that the Alpha spetsnaz? The beta was just the generic mass produced version with the stock.

    I've got to put this one in before someone else does. Yes, it's old. Yes it's not commonly seen anymore. But no way could you really say it's £800 worth of rare. 🙃
