I know 🥴 I’ve some fettling to do, I’ll be testing on .28’s when they get here. I get better accuracy off them.

I’ve a DE908a and it’s great. As I’m new to airsoft, it does everything I need it to and probably more because the Falcon Fire System has settings I’ll likely never use. Out of the box it was shooting 280fps on .25g’s. I’ve upgraded the spring and will be putting in the ZCI Plastic hop unit tomorrow. Changing the spring alone put me up to around 330fps. They’re solid pieces of kit, I’m really happy with it.

It’s that plastic pin arm that that had broken, the moulded end cap has sheared off! I have gone Macaron & Omega, so once the new unit comes I can change over. I may also look to go DMR further down the line, so I may be bending your ear for advice! Thanks Thank you 🙏

Thanks for your reply. This particular hop unit is only about 8 hours old, so I’m hesitant to go plastic again (though for around £5 I suppose it’s not a bank breaker). Is it possible to change the nub in a plastic unit?

Hi all. I’d noticed my hop up wasn’t adjusting so opened it up properly to do some maintenance and thought I’d change the hop rubber at the same time. Anyway, the all plastic unit is damaged, the nub dropped out too, so that explains why it wasn’t adjusting. My question is, what would you recommend I change it for? I’d like to step away from the all plastic unit for reliability purposes. I’d looked on AK24M but his ZCI Aluminium hop is out of stock, if it’s even an option? Cheers

I did hear that there were a few people that didn’t turn up, too. That was a shame because I tried to book on and it was full. When Tony, put the post out saying there’d been people no show, I’d already committed to other stuff (which is a shame as it’s only 15 minutes down the road!). Where will you play, now Coms Site 3 is done?

Thanks for a detailed reply, that’s awesome. At the moment I think I’m just going to upgrade the spring, hop rubber (if you have a recommendation, great) and inner barrel. I love the idea at the moment of running a DMR but don’t want to be be restricted by it. I think buying a dedicated gun for it is going to be a better way to go. We’re looking at coming to Wazone Cov soon, as our closest site (Comms Site 3) has closed because of HS2 works 🤬

Yeah, I think there are some small adjustments I can make regarding air seal etc. I’ve been running .25g but have been thinking of upping to .28g for better accuracy without compromising too much on distance. I think having the quick change spring system will allow me to experiment a bit more confidently. I also don’t to be opening up the GB as a newbie and getting things wrong. Though I do like to learn how to do things myself 😬 Thanks for replying! 280fps with .25g. It’s a new gun so perhaps I’ll just fit a new spring and see about getting to around 350fps before I make a decision to go down the DMR route. Or, perhaps I just look at running a dedicated DMR gun and spend some more cash 😂 I’m loving the gun so far though, especially after using hire guns for a while. Being able to hit a half decent range makes all the difference.

Hi all. I’m looking to bump up the joules/FPS on my M908a, essentially hoping to run DMR type system. Does anyone have a recommendation for a spring to use to get me up nearer to 400fps? I’m currently sitting around 280fps. Cheers
