  1. Yes, that's the one.
  2. That brings back memories. I had a Beretta M92F flavour of that series of electric pistols 20-something years ago. As you said, it's a plinker but it would still make a very satisfying kill on a skirmish.
  3. I'll say Blackstone CQB for the reasons mentioned above. It also has vending machines along with free tea & coffee plus the fact that the setup area/safe zone includes the White Sphere shop and a 20m shooting range. In addition to CCTV, the games are streamed on Twitch with a slight time delay. The play area has also had changes since it opened that have mixed up game play. Hot food may not be sold on site but you have McDonalds, Burger King, Nandos, Greggs, Wendys and a large Tesco store among other places to get food within a 5-minute drive of the site. The site has decent toilets also. As you book and pay in advance (to discourage no-shows when the head count at the site is already low), you just need to confirm you have read the disclaimer so you're not queuing for long at the start. I would also vouch for UCAP Dover/Vanquish. The Citadel is a good site to play at as you have so much variation of buildings to navigate through when pushing to complete objectives. When the weather's nice, you get a stunning view of the Dover Strait from the south of the site and from the car park. They only make food to order so you need to get your order in early as you won't be able to decide you want something hot during the lunch break. You just have to bear in mind that they don't allow two-tone and if you have smoke pyro that has any red colour base to it, you can't use it for the risk of mistakenly alerting the coastguard. Considering the nature of the Citadel having been a detention centre, prison, borstal, barracks and other things, you'd think it would have a decent setup area and it does. The entrance to the setup area is a little clumsy though as walk-on players get in the way first thing in the morning. COMS-3 near Chipping Warden was a brilliant site and I'm confident it will still be when it is expected to reopen by this time next year. The site has a bunker, trenches and lots of areas to attack from or defend. The site is going to change a little bit because of some land loss caused by HS2 but new land will see new features being added. It will have the same marshals at Blackstone being rotated so you will be fairly treated.
  4. In addition to keeping mags warm or less cold as well as using higher pressure gas, you can also use lighter weight bolts and carriers. Every gram you can save in the BCG makes cycling easier.
  5. Always sad to hear of sites closing or being on notice to close. It sucks how the cost of living has hit airsoft.
  6. If it's only the law that matters, can you tell us why you haven't considered the possibility that you can still be arrested for and charged with a public nuisance offence?
  7. I know a couple of people personally who've done it. It may take 2-3 weeks for shipping but they're very reliable.
  8. No, I don't think we echo your thoughts on this. Legal doesn't mean sensible to do. Not caring what anyone thinks may sound tough and heroic but it can be ultimately foolhardy. As others have said, just because something you plan to do might be legal, that doesn't mean you don't run the risk of an armed police response. You don't need to open-carry a RIF to get the police called on you. If you "look the part", people won't hang about and give you the benefit of the doubt no matter how little you care what anyone thinks.
  9. Not that I think this will last long without the Rule 5 picture but it's rather optmistic pricing. 8 mags would be around £400 at retail, without the mod being done. The seller hasn't specified the generation of Glock 17. Does the seller think he's being generous by offering to include the original furniture when he's charging above retail for what I assume is the M4 CQBR as the base?
  10. I hate to say it but it depends as EBB isn't universal. I've used NGRS in AKs and M4s/416s and I was very fond of it though GBBR puts a bigger smile on my face. There is EBB in different flavours by other brands and some are less efficient and even risk damaging the gearbox over prolonged use compared to AEGs without EBB - some people disable mock bolt-based EBB for the sake of preserving their AEG.
  11. "Cheap" often becomes expensive down the line with GBBRs. You can get a Golden Eagle M4 with 2 or 3 additional mags for under £400 but the Western Arms gas platform it's based on is somewhat dated and getting spare parts and upgrades can be a challenge later on. Double Eagle's MWS-compatible GBBRs are arguably the most price-competitive you'll find at the moment and lots of parts can be shared across TM, including mag fill valves when they (not the gasket) leak. Upgrades are easy to do if you're reasonably technical. Vorsk has a AR-based GBBR due out next year (expected in the first half) with MWS mag compatibility but pricing and details on the hop unit, trigger box, etc are TBC. I'd guess these will be even more afforable than the DE MWS GBBRs. Another consideration you really ought to make is that now we're in much cooler if not colder temperatures, you should expect your running costs to go up. "Red" or "black" gas cost more money as green gas becomes less practical (if at all) in cooler temperatures. You can use hand warmers to keep your mags warm when you're running green gas but that's something you'll have to keep a close eye on to make sure you're not running a hot gun. Other expenses include lightweight bolts/carriers and with if you use higher pressure gas, there are NPAS and fixed power-down valves to throw into the mix.
  12. I think it's a one man band who barely seems fazed. The only sign of life there was someone doing anything was when the site went down for a couple of weeks then went online again.
  13. Did you call him out? The ad's gone! 🤣
  14. I can't say for certain on AEGs but with GBBRs when you attach other handguards, you sometimes need a barrel nut spacer so it fits securely. Is that what you're talking about?
