Great shout, I will order some of those bags from Amazon now. My hope was to have them on show as 50% of the reason for my love of the RIFs is to have them to look, as well as the odd Skirmish.

Brilliant, thank you! I'm keeping all of the batteries in the house as I don't want to risk those. The same with my gas mags for my HiCapa. But I will set up my dehumidifier to be on a schedule each day and keep an eye on my humidifier sensor I have out there to see how stable that keeps humidity. Ifnindont use the dehumidifier it can get to 70%. That being said I've got guitars and other bits out there that seem to have survived the last couple of years.

Hi all, Does anyone keep their RIFs in a room with fluctuating temperatures, or have any experience of the impacts of doing so? I have my detached garage half converted, plastered and insulated. However it is heated by an oil radiator which is only on when I'm in the garage, maybe once a week for a few hours. Over these sort of months the garage temperature can get down to close to freezing. I do however have a little dehumidifier in there which I can set on a timer to keep humidity low. I'm hoping to get a peg board on the wall to put the RIFs on show, but im a bit concerned that the low temperatures will not be good for the RIFs. I've currently got them stored out there but sealed in a hard case. Anyone got a similar setup with similar fluctuating temperatures? Thanks.

I've just bought a few keymod to picatinny rails, and some lipo alarms. Nothing too exciting. But I've just found a relatively local indoor CQB site that runs regularly weekday evening games that I hope will give me the chance to go more often, and so I felt like I needed to invest in a flashlight attachment. Which meant I needed to bite the bullet on the rails, as my keymod setup makes it a little restrictive when looking at attachments.

I am thinking of trying out the Department CQB for midweek skirmishing, which I believe is attached to the physical shop for these guys. Will be interesting to see how things are ther, as they seem to have a few bad reviews recently.

Anyone been recently? I'm looking for a site to start playing at regularly, likely weekday evenings, and have only played woodland so far. Hoping for somewhere friendly and welcoming, with ample parking (I hate worrying about finding a parking space!). Read a few recent reviews about issues with 'regulars', but not sure if that's just unhappy people not having a great time from dying a lot

I've just started up Airsoft and I'm in the Wellingborough area trying to find a friendly site to play at. Trying to get some friends to get into it too but at the moment it's just myself. How's this coming along. It sounds like it'd be perfect for myself!

Ive seen lots of great feedback mentioned about Special Ops. I started up Airsoft this year and so my local choice was Skirmish Central. I had fun, but the site felt a bit devoid. I'll have to give Special Ops a go. Hopefully the parking is ample as it's definitely not at Skirmish. Also just spotted Department CQB and they do weekday evenings. Very handy!!

Thanks very much both. I bought it in person at fire support, and it's a bit of a trek from me just to return it. 'only' paid £25 so I guess I could keep it as a spare and look out for a good deal on a skymax, skyRC or similar. And do as you do Roger for now, give it a bit of a charge up before storage but not to full charge. I'm thinking of getting a LiPO alarm too, and those read out the voltage for each cell I believe. So I guess I could also use that as a rough indicator before storage for whether I need to charge a bit more or drain a bit. Thanks again both. Bricking it with LiPOs!

Hi all, I've just bit the bullet and dipped into the world of LiPOs, and picked up an ASG Balance Charger https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/asg-lipolife-auto-stop-battery-charger-uk-version It seemed to have very good reviews and so I grabbed one on a recent trip to FireSupport. One thing it doesn't seem to have though is the ability to charge up/discharge down to ideal storage voltage. Keen to hear from anyone using LiPOs about how the achieve that using chargers without this feature. Maybe you use a lipo alarm to manually check voltage of each cell and charge up/down accordingly (another question of which LiPO alarm everyone recommends?). Just charge up a bit and store the LiPOs as is. Or maybe everyone just uses a LiPO charger that has the functionality that my charger doesn't? Just keep reading horror stories that is making me become more and more cautious about storage, charging, etc. I currently have the LiPO stored in its plastic container, inside a LiPO bag, inside a metal tin. Stored above my kitchen cabinets so it's out of the reach of the kids, and in a place that is always roughly at room temperature. Thanks in advance!
