Because they have a skirmisher defence under VCRA 2006 and that's all that is required to be in compliance with customs legislation with regards to importation laws at the border. A lot of people seem to have the impression that being UKARA registered is the only defence and it isnt at all, its the easiest one to establish immediately but that's why goods can be detained under Customer Excise Management Act 1979 for 28 days while an importer provides evidence of the legality of their import. Someone suggested using an ATA carnet which they could get form the Norwegian chamber of commerce (or equivalent) and that could be used but it would only show the goods as being a temporary importation an is mostly used for goods over around £1500 if memory serves me correctly and is usually used for people travelling with valuable goods that they use for or with work or they would be stung with import tax on every arrival in the UK carrying the goods dependant on the circumstances The OP is right though 'transitting' relates to people not goods

If he is coming to skirmish he has a defence under VCRA and therfore his items would not be a customs importation offence under Section 49 (improper importation) or section 170 (fraudulent evasion of a duty or prohibition) of the Customs Excise Management Act 1979 offence a she would have the defence and therefore the prohibition created under VCRA 2006 would not be in force and therefore customs legislation is a moot point. Just declare them on arrival at the Red point at the airport and do not declare them in the green channel. He would just need proof that the rifs are under 371fps if semi/full auto and that he is attending a skirmish site as a skirmisher with insurance as per the defence under VCRA 2006. Hi everyone Hopefully someone can answer a question on the Cyma CM077C (stockless magpul handguard version - VFC style clone) before I drop some cash on one.... I quite fancy a stockless AK in my collection which the CM077C would fit nicely into, but I want to add a wood handguard and standard AK pistol grip and AK flash hider I have spare does anyone have a CM077C and would they be able to confirm if the wood handguard from a Cyma CM048 fit without issue? Well the OG AKs with milled style receivers arrived....

I am already falling down that path which is why I am going to try and maintain self control.....

Definently 100% ordered my LAST two AKs, two AK47 with milled style lower receivers and not AKM hopefully they will be decent when they arrive! Then should have matching AKs from each generation with either full or folding stocks from AK47 to AK12

Ordered an underfolding AK with dong handguard and got a Romanian wire stock AK instead.... Not going to complain!!!

The postman arrived while the wife was out... Thank god!! But he delivered an AK12 and a GP25 and as a result there was no explanations needed!!

Bought this at the start of the month to add a dong handguard to and spent a while working out how to get cyma midcaps to feed in it but have since ordered a GP25 to add to it instead.... My missus will murder me when it arrives 😬

So I tried shimming the magazine which didn't solve it, but found that if I released the magazine catch and sat the magazine a mm lower in the magwell by hand it fed and cycled fine so I ended up solving it by literally removing half a mm from the top of the magazine catch as it was rounded whereas the Cyma magazine release catch is flat and it has solved it and the original magazine (tactical maraca hicap) still fits and feeds without issue... Although it will never be used!

I am back on Friday and am going to try and experiment on the magazines (I have loads of cyma magazines that are spare?) I might also try and file a little from the top of the magazine catch if the magazine mods don't solve it...wish me luck

They are identical from what I have compared, and when I remove them from the rifle they spit out about 4 or 5 bbs which makes me think they must be feeding Totally new and fires fine with the magazine it comes with

Hi everyone, Hoping someone can help with an issue I am having.... Recently bought a cheap steel receiver and wooden furniture double bell Ak47 to add a dong handguard to (not that it will ever be used probably as I have far too many AKs already) The issue I have with it is I run Cyma midcaps that work with all my other different brands of AKs but in the double bell they fit and lock into place and when removed they spit out about 5 bbs (so I know they are feeding) but when I try and fire the rifle it just dry fires? Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this as I am away at the moment and want to get it up and running on my return home! Cheers John

Not a lot but bought a Type 56 style AK sling and trying to decide if it should stay on an AK74 or the PP19..although for 11 quid each on amazon may just buy one for each rifle I have..... Also bought a set of fully functioning Ratnik 6M2 active amplifier ear defenders from truemobster!

My latest purchase so now have an AK platform from SMG to LMG and definitely the last for a while although managed to find some reasonably priced magazines in Germany that are on their way so it will be skirmish ready unlike the Bizon as I cannot find any mag pouches for its 4 magazines yet

Finally got a Russian helmet set up like one I sold on the forums a while back and had regret ever since..... Managed to even find a genuine FSS-014-6E2 with all the russian markings instead of a streamlight compact I used before

VSS finally has an appropriate scope thanks to @Austeyr and ended up getting a PP19 Bizon... Now just waking on the Vityaz to arrive then I must try and stop buying more Russian weapons!!
