  1. If I was to go full ham I’d probably buy the Peltor IV, quite like the look of them but before doing that are there alternatives?

Im not fussed about having cans as I’ll be wearing a breathable cap (reduce that bloody fogging!) and a Delta Mike mask unless there’s a pressing reason for them.

I’d read people using baofang uv-5r but some didn’t like them for some reason?

It depends upon what make your gun is (don’t say Glock lol)

You’ll need a red dot plate that’s suitable for your manufacturer, and definitley NOT a real steel

    one

Hard not to say glock when it’s in the title 😃

  3. Wanting to mount a vortex venom red dot and I found this kinda thing but then wonder how I’d holster it, maybe something to go with it, what do others do?

Or there are the dovetail fittings but mines a Glock 17 gen 5

  4. So I can confirm that the Emerson holster works a treat, even more so with a one point sling with QD also!  This is with a x3 + Sparc + mag!  Ordered on eBay came from China in about 10 days surpringly

I added a picatinny QD offset mount for the one point sling I added meaning one press of the QD buckle and I’ve instant access to the Galaxy.  Now I’m able to throw the rif to the rear with an Emerson 2 point sling and switch to the MP5K in a matter of seconds.

There are also two straps with the holster I can thread through the trigger area but you can get away with just the one point sling which is perfect!  The other use of the one point is to act as lanyard but also at a push just let the mp5 go and transition to the rif.

If I know I’m moving for a while I put one of the straps on for good measure, is also holds a MP5 mag which is very useful, when it’s on I barely feel it.  There’s also quick a thick non slip thigh strap too which is solid.  It also also strong Velcro straps in the perfect position and fits into a combat belt perfectly.

I also had the strike system but taking that back as its cumbersome and it hangs too low down, it’s hard to get it higher and seemed to hit my knees.  It might be possible to adjust it more but there are some holding covers that get in the way.

  5. There are other defences other than UKARA that aren’t as highly recognised so getting a shop to accept is tricky.

But in this case the dad should be going out there with him, there nothing stopping them buying guns used either is there until the 2 months/3x games is up?  What a great excuse for a dad to be able to get out there and play toy solider for a few hours great bonding opportunities

Roger might sound like he’s being a stickler above but he’s right…..even 18 yr olds with UKARA have a high % chance of being a nob trying to show off to his mates outside unfortunately, can’t imagine what younger lads would be like, I’ve no doubt the OP has his head on his shoulders but plenty won’t be

Usually just help with agrubscrew on the bottom of the gas block , at least on a 'normal' MP5 . Have you had the rail off ? I would imagine the grub screw is hidden under that

Not the greatest pictures , but

I can see that screw now actually, but oddly I’d had it off without touching that or the rail l but yeah it’s there cheers

until I get my 3d mount for my Venom this is all I have spare to use! 😃

  7. This thing isn’t a secondary weapon is it…….it looks daft holstered give the size of it, it must also weigh close to a full rifle!  😃

Can’t imagine a sniper crawling on the ground with that anchored on…..

Im DMR myself hence why I thought I’d go for the MP5K but I should have probably gone for that super pistol (can’t remember the name of it that all snipers love!)

im having same issue trying to work out a holster product for this C11D4D42-7316-4257-9AD2-9EDD5835F868.thumb.jpeg.53c97194fc2c01fe1433ff741f7fa3fe.jpeg

I’m new but have the bug!  Not sure if anyone has mentioned but I think TM are the only ones to offer recoil, stop shot function (so when your out of ammo you not air shooting!)  unless skys the limit then there’s the GBLS DAS which seems the ultimate experiment

    https://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/4366/s/tokyo-marui-m4-cqb-r-black-next-generation-recoil-shock-a-e-g-pre-order/

TM get a bad rap for the FPS, I’m told not to fixate on this as it will shoot as far as others at 350 FPS.  That said for  £95 you can tell this supplier what FPS you want and they will make it so!

If I could have my time again I’d have bought the above for sure plus it sounds way better than my KWA T10, although the recoil might not be as good.

So I’d day for around £400 buy a KWA Ronin T10, if you can pay more get the TM with the upgrade for £540 or whatever, if it needs to be lower then get the CYMA.

I couldn’t be without the recoil, imagine pistols that had none, yack!

Be like one of those meek handshakes you get from low testosterone males where they clasp your fingers and not firmly crush your hand…..technically it’s the same thing but it’s not is it :).

  9. Cheers it doesn’t have a grub that I’ve seen, I think anti-clockwise would loosen it but don’t want to risk it….I’ll take back to the shop, they still need to sort the wiring to deans on the battery….

oh btw what do people recommend battery wise?  It’s got a gate advanced in there so the original no longer fits so it’s getting a different one but I’ve noticed some saying used a higher powered one

Ahoy and welcome.  Not that I have either, but I'd note that the original TM and clones are under-sized, while (e.g.) the VFC is 1:1, so any advice about what fits what will be conditional.

    These are a thing.

I  ordered this last night for £40, if it’s not right I’ll send it back but literally the only thing that looks like it will allow a red dot or the mag to be fit
