  1. Update. I've spoken to BZ Tactical who advise that there aren't any aftermarket rubbers that fit. They have stock ones and will send them out if needed, but apparently they are pretty solid so don't fail often. I've flat hopped it but, due to the rubber being so thick I've had to use and omega nub (black) to actually get a flat contact patch. For anyone else looking for innards for this gat, BZ will either have or order any internals you need if you send them and email with the part on the diagram from KWA highlighted.
  2. Hi all, Has anyone got the new model LM4D from KWA other than me? It's a significant upgrade from the supposedly quite gash LM4 with a newly redesigned hop unit. For anyone who has one, have you found any hop bucking rubbers that fit or work in it because the stock rubber has those horrid "fangs" and I'd love to get rid of them for something a bit less.....erm....shit. I don't know if the original LM4 rubbers are compatible and I can't find any reference to the LM4D rubber even on KWA website, place seems to suggest the LM4 rubber is the only one available at the moment but it looks different to the new one. Advice greatly appreciated. P.s. it shoots like a beast but I hate fanged rubbers.
  3. I was a regular member at a certain site that a certain YouTube asshat filmed at occasionally. I haven't renewed my membership this year and have gone elsewhere close by because he started turning up a lot more and the site would cater to his filming over the players enjoyment. I think the cost of living, the inability to readily get kit from suppliers who are abroad and the rise of the pootube attention whore are all factors.
  4. XT60 is way OTT for airsoft mate, stick with Deans connectors, they have a good electrical contact, and are easy as hell to solder on. XT60 are great connectors but they are really designed for much higher amperage uses and if you aren't a soldering legend, you can melt them very easily.
  5. My Bolt used 21.25mm, my ICS is 21.00mm as Speedbird says. I've heard people say the correct one for the ICS CXP is actually for an AK at 19.7mm but out of all 3 of those nozzles, the one that fits and seals is the 21.00mm for the ICS. I've tried all 3 personally. The maple leaf rubber was too long in the lip without a bit of gentle sanding, but the prommy purple would be spot on if it wasn't for a seriously tight hop unit. Even with a small amount of grease on the outside of the rubber and, being very gentle, I can push the barrel clean through the rubber before it is fully home.
  6. Do you know what, I never even considered that at all, thanks mate. I thought that was a sealed unit and the slots were to allow a new adjustment wheel to be added. I'll check it when I strip it for post skirmish cleaning this evening.
  7. It's an ICS CXP Mars, hop unit is stock ICS. I was using a Maple leaf and omega nub, then found the feed lips are too long so I sanded them down and then eventually I threw that in a bin and put a prommy purple in. Most recently, I flat hopped the prommy, but it wad a dog to get back into the hop unit even with a little lube.
  8. I recently put a barrel centering clamp on the barrel to hop unit interface and it came with 6 rubber o rings to use in place of the usual spring. I've been suffering mid cap syndrome since running epm1 mags and they damaged the tappet plate so the nozzle was pushed out of alignment from bb pressure, but I got rid of them and replaced the tappet plate. Now the issue is, on a hi cap test mag the rif shoots really well, but any mid cap at all gives me 1 shot that is okay, 3 shots that are crap and go about 30 ft and 2 dry fires on average. On full auto, it works fine with all mags. Question now is, is there a correct number of o rings to use and thus, using the wrong number has made the barrel to hop unit interface wrong so I'm getting misfeeds or should I ditch them altogether and go back to the spring?
  9. Have you tried ak2m4? I've seen the birdcage buffer tube clamp, the black bit in your picture, on there before.
  10. Points to note. Don't try and fit a crazy jet barrel to a Novritsch SSP1 unless you are happy to get the dremel out! The rim inside the SSP1 hop unit is 360 degrees around the front end, the CJ barrel only has side cutouts and as such, to get the barrel in, you'll have to dremel the inside rim top and bottom of the hop unit.
  11. Thanks Nick, as I suspected, but just wanted to check with someone who has used the barrels.
  12. Has anyone who uses a crazy jet inner barrel on their pistol got any advice on whether it is affected by adding a tracer unit? I'm fitting the crazy jet to my hi capa and have a brighter c tracer for night usage and I'm wondering if the tracer unit will negate the benefit of the crazy jet?
  13. Yes mate, I have a lens protector on the holo, no lens protector on the magnifier. No matter what focal length, focus or distance between the magnifier objective and the holo I set, with the holo lens protector in place, the picture is blurry as all hell. Take off the holo lens protector and it is clear as a bell. I'll check to see if there is a film on the lens protector though.
  14. Okay, now I've got all that sorted and the magnifier is mounted and aligned, how do you guys get a clear picture with a lens protector on the holo?
  15. Now you are just being ridiculous, a whole £8.22 extra, not sure I can stretch to that! Thanks buddy, much appreciated.
  16. That is a nice bit of kit and a great suggestion thanks. I'm not sure it will do the job for me though, I'm mating the magnifier to a Nuprol 553 holo, so in the down position it may interfere with the main sight.
  17. Perfect, thanks both
  18. I'm just picking one of these up shortly but, if anyone else uses one or something similar, what do you use for lens protection on it when it flipped to the side?
  19. A couple of their marshalls are spot on, a couple are utterly useless at dealing with fuckery. There is a decent amount of dickheads who refuse to call hits. I've been a few times and if you get the good marshalls, it can be a good day out.
  20. Early KM videos were okay, but as its gone along, he's become obsessed with being a bit of a drama queen and trying to create issues. I've not yet met him at Phoenix, but I think from playing there a few times, I can gather why he goes there.
  21. Hi all, I'm looking for an idea of worth for this. Included and professionally fitted is: Maxx pro cylinder Maxx pro cylinder head Maxx pro piston head Maxx pro nozzle M105 spring Lonex hi-speed hi-torque motor ZCI aluminium rotary hop unit Maple leaf rubber and omega tensioner. All in the original box with original flip up iron sights and Bolt hi cap mag. Not a mark on it, has had about 2000 bbs through it total since new.
  22. No excuse for throwing hands in a game of toy soldiers. The scrawny one shouldn't have tried to turn the chunky dudes head into a collander, but, let's be honest, if he didn't want to risk being shot in the face at close range, he shouldn't have gone charging in like a stupid twat bahaha!
  23. I've heard of a couple of people who have done the same and are enjoying.
  24. I've got the H nubs and a 70 Predator bucking on the way myself. Apparently there is a wasp piston on the way and I think edgi has a range of scout parts too. I've not noticed a change in performance with temperature change, but then I've only recently got it and run it for 1 game day, so it's only had about 200bbs through it but even so, I am impressed with it and how well the standard bucking performs without being broken in.
  25. I guess if you have a sorted sniper with your upgrades in it, there's no need to change. I was more thinking about folks who are looking for an out the box usable sniper. I bought one recently and have to say I'm impressed, but I just wondered if anyone else thought the same or if its price puts people off.
