Hi Guys.
After some thoughts on the air nozzle sticking in the hop unit on my AAP.
Almost new AAP with a light bolt and adjustable trigger, but the nozzle was a little sticky before I changed the trigger and the bolt.
Also, feeding issue, which was probably related to the nozzle getting stuck.
Got a stronger nozzle return spring on the way, but surely it can't be that simple?
Stock bucking, hop and air nozzle.
Not short stroked.
Thanks,
Pat.

The ISO wouldn’t make a cylinder exempt from hydrotesting - Certain types of fibre under ISO standards can be exempt from a final date. (Aluminiums would not normally have a final date)
The size situation of a compact aluminium can exempt them from hydrotests. I would guess that a 26ci has a narrow circumference, but probably over 2”
The general guidance on exemption is a diameter of 2” (thats from the American standards). Give HPAC a call, I would confirm with Trevor on what’s in/out of scope for compact
For an aluminum they typically get marked by manufacturers as due testing at the 5 year point but would be UK legal for 10 years from manufacture
Great info - many thanks. Just to confirm, my tank is ali, is 2.5" diameter. Will see how it looks on it's 5 year birthday and then decide to replace, get it checked, or risk keeping on using it if it's still pristine until someone questions it or it gets to 10 years old, when I will get it checked - I'm guessing this could be normal practise for a lot of folk. I fill it myself with a stirrup pump as I like the exerice!

Hi @Tommikka
I have a 26CI bottle which has an ISO marking, a Rho gate TT thing and was born in August 2021.
Will this need a check in August 2026 or it exempt (maybe) because of a) it's size and b) it's ISO marking?
Thanks,
Pat.

Hi All,
Looking for someone to who is actually willing to work on a Cybergun SCAR-L gearbox.
Everyone I’ve asked so far refuses to work on them.
It’s screaching at me.
Thanks,
Pat.

Cheers Guys.
Only wear the mask when I play indoors and I like to shoot and move a lot - just seem to get caught under the ear area quite a lot - must just be unlucky!
Going to keep looking at a few masks such at the Virtue Extend and see what it's like.
Other than that - having my hood up or a shemagh may be the way forward.

Hi Guys,
I've been using my DYE 4 for a few years now, but seem to be vulnerable just under the ears and on the jawline under the ears.
Any other recommendations?
Was thinking the DYE 5 as it's supposed to be slightly bigger.
Thanks,

Hi Guys.
I'm struggling to find a polymer m-lok handguard around 9-10" long.
Best I can find is the Novritsch one, although it's 11", it's cheap and decent quality.
Anywhere else?
Cheers,
Pat.

Thanks for the info - but it is the Polymer that I want and I much prefer the PDW stock.
I love the front half of my SSR4 and the receiver, pistol grip and the sound of the M904G.
A new polymer hand guard from Novvy is only 15 euros and I planned to fit a new barrel and bucking to the M904G anyway - if I add the Novvy barrel and a cheap 2" barrel extension, I have everything I need in a gun... for now.
And for a bit more reference if anyone needs to know in future (google pointed me to this thread when I was making my enquiries), the outer barrel and barrel nut threads of the M904G are standard so easy to swap in the future if needed.
The M904G barrel nut is a bit weird though (in a good way as it helps support the handrail) and needs a pin spanner to removed it.
The second pic has the nut from the SSR4 screwed onto it for reference.

Hey - what polymer guard is that that you re-fitted - it's just the right length that I'm looking for!

Oops - yep - numbers all wrong. Meant M904G and M904L.

Hi All.
After reading all this, I’ve now got an M509G in the arsenal and am waiting for an M509L to come into stock somewhere!
In the mean time and for reference, once the small un-windy hand guard bolt thing has been removed and the hand guard itself pulled off, other hand guards fit!
The one from my SSR4 goes straight on 😜
Will look at the barrel nut and inner barrels soon and report back on what I find.

Hi Guys.
Anyone (lefties) have issues accidentally knocking there fire selector switch onto safe during an event?
Talking about rifles here.
Any solutions?
Cheers,

Hi Guys.
Great advice and I get it all now after knowing what to look for.
I like the sound of drilling and tapping the gear box under and behind the trigger and reducing the pre-engagement as a cheap fix, but I know get the whole mosfet thing as well (never fully understood it before).
So a cheap ish mosfet like a Gate Astor and an adjustable trigger like a MAXX cnc one would give me a hair trigger and ability to use a better battery and make the gun last longer if not abused.
So for less than £100, I ignited be able to do this, and if the rest of the gun gives up (it’s a £100 CYMA after all), I’d still have the mosfet and trigger to fit to a new gun.
Sound ok?
Cheers,
Pat.

Hi Guys,
My step son CQB's with me, but as he's a little dude, he doesn't like how far he has to pull the trigger on his CYMA.
Is fitting a CNC trigger the cheapest easiest option?
Cheers,
Pat.

Hi.
My helmet has the adjuster on the back of it and locks on pretty tight to my head.
And I'm lucky that I don't really get a sweaty head and couldn't even steam up my cheap Raven mask.
Cheers,
Pat.

Hi Guys,
After mulling over the eye pro, face mask, helmet, hat dilema, I think I did a thing.....
I removed all the interior and the straps of the Nuprol FAST helmet, swapped a few screws around so they didn't scratch the DYE lens and put the DYE strap around the back of the helmet, and it all seems to work and stay in place by only using the adjuster on the back of the helmet - no chin strap required.
Not committed to cutting off the straps yet.
Looks pretty stealthy to me...

Help!
The tiny metal part in the middle of the pic broke off from somewhere, but can't for the life of me find out what it is.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks,
Pat.
