  1. i play at the site where the op lost his grenade although i wasn't there that particular evening according to the marshals that i have asked about this specific situation, and the op can correct me if im wrong, the grenade was deployed in a place where there aren't any dark holes or nooks and crannys for it to disappear into. so seemingly a clear case of stealing rather than misplacing
  2. when a riot kicks off in a crowded casino at 2 am lots of people want to leave, they simply were not allowed to. in order to leave they would have had to resort to direct action/violence on the staff members guarding the exits
  3. i used to work in casinos and occasionally disputes would escalate beyond just a shouting match. when this happened there was a standing policy to bar all exits and wait until the police arrived. i often wondered if this was illegal detention of everyone else who wasn't directly involved, or did the casino have a clause in theirs T&C's which allowed for this? cant remember, was a very long time ago, but in the 15 months i worked at one specific casino we had to lock everyone in on 3 separate occasions and no one complained
  4. situation 1, im the patient. whilst working on a building site ive been struck on the head by a 21 foot scaffold pole and i am walking, talking and holding a small bandage to the 2 inch gash in my forehead to stem the blood. site manager comes running across with the first aid kit and proceeds to take out a very long bandage, i ask him what he intends to do with that and he says "im going to bind your head to stop the blood" i stopped him because i was concerned if he continued and i had a fractured skull he might make things worse, ambulance crew concurred. situation 2. its about 3 am on the m6 southbound and a motorcyclist has collided with a bridge support at high speed. he is an absolute mess and parts of his bike are strewn over a wide area. its me and one other driver that have stopped to help and when the patient is slipping in and out of consciousness and mumbling stuff the other driver says we should take his helmet off so we can hear him more clearly. i made sure that didnt happen. i will always stop and give first aid/assistance. 1 because its morally the right thing to do and 2 because often there isnt anyone else present who can manage the situation safely and efficiantly. once the pros turn up i do my handover and go on my way. still never knew what happend to the motorcyclist on the m6, i hope he made it.
  5. a single ffd which i hope i never have to use in game and basic pain meds like ibuprofen and co-codamol also antihistamine, loperomide, i also carry sachets of electrolyte replacement like dioralyte or the supermarket equivalent, this gets used A LOT clean water for wound cleaning or if safe to do so eye wash, also for drinking with or without the electrolyte i dont carry plasters any longer cos really, they just wernt getting used and anything that you might use a small plaster on can usually just be ignored ime as others have said, training is the key here, have some and know your limits. never been a medical professional but had a few in the family and close mates etc and they would remind me of an unfortunate saying in hospital emergency departments "first aiders kill people" so whenever i have been required to offer aid to someone i always kept that in mind
  6. might be barking up the wrong tree here but i thought that 12G magflashes were less popular at sites now because of insurance liability all of the usual 'store bought' blank ammo we use is made and tested to specific industry standards to which the manufacturing companies will be held accountable if something goes wrong a small, individual, sole trader type person making blank rounds for use by the public in an open setting might be manufacturing the ammo to a very high standard but without the relevant lab tests to legally confirm this no insurance liability company is going to be comfortable with their use by the general public. happy to be wrong on this bc i would love to see these types of blanks being used more widely again

  8. i helped organise a training day a long time ago for 25-30 people . we split them into 2 groups and in the morning for a couple of hours one group practiced basic accuracy, double taps, transitions and walking and firing whilst the second lot leant the 1,2,3,4 entry using grenades. we swapped them over after lunch until the last hour when we put them into 4 man teams and put them against the instructors in some exercises to practice what they learned. feedback was positive with them accepting that not all that they had been practicing would be useful for all airsoft games but they had all learned something beneficial and had all the basic information on how to get a better cqb team up and running if they wanted. they had all got to practice deploying grenades using teamwork/timing which you dont really get to do anywhere else except in live games, which isnt the best learning environment the instructors were quite colourful characters so just spending a day with experienced shooters giving you tips + plenty of banter was worth the asking price imo cant remember exactly how much we charged them but it was similar to what a days game would have cost and that just covered the cost of the site and the 2 main instructors, we had a few others helping that weren't paid.
