  1. Absolutely, my intention was for CQB use too, though I cant wait to try woodlands with it as I've only had it a short time. Regarding weights, my VFC Avalon CQB with short dot 9no mag) weighs 3.23kg, the vector 2.9kg, my gas shotty 2.2kg.
  2. I CQB'd mine last night for the first time, folded stock and unfolded, it hits hard , and its not particularly light but its not stupid heavy.. its got a good heft imo... but 1 - full auto for CQB is pointless as its generally not allowed, semi only. 2 - you definitely need a tracer unit as you cant really judge your shooting in the dark. 3- i did thumb the safety on by accident a few times. Its a Krytac and I really dig it!
  3. Been into airsoft now about 5 months, just got my UKARA a few days after Xmas.. I'm a child in a toy store.. so many goodies. I've been running an M4 style with plate carrier so have reduced that somewhat to a micro fight rig for smg stylr loadout to go with my Xmas pressies.. Golden Eagle gas shotty and Krytac Kriss Vector.. I'm on a budget so bought used, but I'm pretty stoked.
  4. Also...bear in mind I found both my speed loaders to have pointy plastic casting bits where the plunger pushed bbs.. I have since sanded down and smoothed off on both and I must say how much smoother loading is, and much less chance of damaging bbs marking them or causing dimples while loading..
  5. Dude thats a WE 1911 MEU, low cappa 🙂
  6. Hi I have the same issue with my 19x, yes it was cold yesterday but the gun wouldn't fire bbs out every trigger pull using Abbey Red.. though the slide cycles. Pretty disappointing as it can't be depended on. Seems like its the gas then? I'll give Nuprol Red a go, thanks.

  8. Cant afford new, but really looking forward to receiving this FMA Team Wendy Exfil copy.. with headset for my earpro (seeing as TW sued FMA and won, but missing the point that this is not a counterfeit version but a homage, and not a safety helmet.. purely cosplay / airsoft / prop) woot woot! Thats stunning with the real wood grips.. I love me a 1911, I used to have a real one, I'm keen to get a few Airsoft versions, this TM looks amazing.
  9. @GAMBLE, I see what you mean, I'd better watch myself its getting out of hand already, 😬 😬😁 hahaha (hysterical laughter) ..the market seems big and busy so I shouldn't have a problem swapping or selling as I go. I've been watching your vids flat out now, absolutely awesome stuff, very good for beginners indeed, hope you keep it up!.. thanks to @Brophy for the link. Righto, good advice, ta! I've found remarkably cheap PPE with the required rating for high speed projectiles (120m/s or 393 fps) EN166 1.BT.9 K N https://www.safetecdirect.co.uk/products/3m2890s/3m-2890s-safety-goggles-anti-scratch-and-anti-fog-lens?gclid=Cj0KCQjw4eaJBhDMARIsANhrQADhVznHCnUSExfnAZ7Rd8wijCNjmK5QCdyIvuLxLozof4Yt9MM7KvYaAt9AEALw_wcB HAHAHA!...ta.. I guess with CQB and the Dye mask is fine as you wont really be ADS much..
  10. Cheers that's excellent advice, thanks very much.. and for the link. I actually have started looking at gear. I think I'm settled on the Lowa Zephyr GTX boots... but face, head and eye protection is going to need a looot more research it seems, there seem to be so many combos all the way to the HALO looking, but apparently the best performing Dye style full face protection.
  11. Thanks for the warm welcome and advice!
  12. Hi peeps, I'm looking into airsoft after seeing an m4 platform for sale at a market on Sunday. I'm from South Africa but living in the North West. Have interested in and been around guns and shooting forever, from school shooting team to carrying a .45 for self defence. I've shot most of the common platforms, loved the M4 due to its carry and shoot all day weight, unlike the FAL which is a right metal pig but hits hard. Played quite a bit of paintball back in the day, but after seeing how stunning some of these replicas are and the fun folks are having on YouTube ima dip my toe in at my local Airsoft range. I think I'm sold on a used Cyma or even Specna as they seem excellent quality for the price, ...any other suggestions are welcome for an accurate and reliable full metal M4 type CQB and general outdoors?? Cheers Scott
