  1. I saw that site, was interested till I saw the postage fees!
  2. Hello, Have been playing airsoft for a couple of months now. Currently using a DE M904e and it definitely does the job and offers good performance with the upgrades I have done. Originally I was thinking about getting a cheaper gun as a backup to my M904 however after thinking about it I am going to look into upgrading to a better gun in the next few months and then move the M904 over to my backup (especially with Christmas coming up!). I would like an AEG on the same platform and the budget will be around £200-£400 What is out there that you would recommend? Heard quite a bit about ICS and Krytacs etc
  3. Anyone got a Combat Machine or a Specna Arms in any condition they want to get rid of?

Any reason you're avoiding CYMAs?  The cheapest plastic externals are a bit toyish, but the internals are robust enough.

@RogerborgI'm open to some Cyma's too - Just haven't seen too many kicking about!

      I have a G&G M4A1 full metal going

  4. I usually find with my Dye that a 1 inch riser is all I need.
  5. Little update, Played with it on Sunday - Has become a bit of a laser with a ML Yellow and a ZCI inner barrel. Took a little while for the rubber to break in but once it did the range and accuracy is there.
  6. Nibbled a bit off with your teeth? 😉 I tried the two other rubbers today. Seem to be okay but there was a drop in the fps. Swapped back to the shaved maple leaf and it jumped up again to 342 on 0.20. Also very consistent around that number. Playing tomorrow so will see how the maple leaf performs in a full game and will address from there!
  7. Sorry I forgot to add that it would jam at points. The force it needed to get by the bucking was quite a lot.
  8. Going to give one of the cheaper ZCI 60 degree buckings a go. Have ordered it via @ak2m4 I am hoping with the combination of a zci barrel, zci hopup and a zci bucking that they would of made sure they all fit together perfectly. Might not be as good of a performance as a ML yellow in terms of hop but I will mainly be using .25s and not going for "super" range. I still have the shaved ML yellow which I will give it a shot this weekend and compare it to the zci.
  9. I was in your shoes a couple of weeks ago. If you want something a little bit cheaper and is a good starter have a look at the Double Eagle M90 series. There are full metal options too. They are fairly new and some people have a few concerns over the fake chinese Titan but everyone I know haven't had any issues at all. Build quality is overall very impressive for the cost.
  10. I can understand where you are coming from, just feels strange for a bucking to be longer than it should be. I have been able to shave it and it seems to work but I don't have the tools to be able to do it very clean.
  11. Hello, I recently tried installing a Maple Leaf 60 degree AEG yellow bucking into my stock hop up, however the lips were too long (It would feed when using a mag however if I hand fed the hop up bbs they would get stuck on the lips of the bucking). I tried sanding it but it became very messy. I then did some research and found that people recommend the ZCI rotary plastic hop up. I also found this video from Negative Airsoft where he uses the same bucking but in the ZCI hop up. So I purchased one of them and installed a new bucking with the new hop up. It was the same issue. This time I used a razor to just shave it as cleanly as possible but I am still not 100% happy with it. FPS is great and consistent but I don't really think I should be having to cut a product such as a bucking just to make sure it works correctly. I use the omega nub too. Does anyone have any suggestions on which buckings I should try instead? Thank you
  12. Hello, Currently running a M904e as stock. The gearbox seems okay from the moment but I am wanting to improve the range and accuracy. I have been looking at putting in a better inner barrel, bucking and rubber. According to Taiwangun the inner barrel length is 215mm and the cylinder is 3/4th. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!
  13. I would say around 50m. I have a 60 degree and a omega nub that I may fit in it for my next skirmish day and see how that goes. It was also very windy today so that may of paid a bit part of it!
  14. Got it Tuesday. First full day of skirmishing with it today and it was actually very impressive. Range and accuracy at longer ranges were it's only issue but everything else is great. My one major issue I have had is that the hopper is quite hard to turn. One way its smooth but the other needs a key or for you to have long nails because the grooves are quite small.
  15. Managed to return them for a full refund.. They didn't have a size up which is unfortunate. I currently play in a pair of columbia walking trainers which offer great grip but no ankle support. What do you recommend?
  16. Didn't know that, might be the reason why my right foot (smaller than the left one) is snug but okay where as my left is just rather uncomfortable. I text the army surplus owner and he said "no problem" to my return so that's good news. I didn't mention refund though
  17. It's a pretty official surplus shop. They are the local shop to a fairly big town. I purchased all my airsoft jackets and etc from there which have all been great. I am hoping he will do a refund out of good will and I will return when I need other bits and bobs.
  18. Yeah that is what I am thinking, although not sure what a private army surplus will be like if I ask to return/refund them!
  19. Hello, Purchased some Altberg boots today from a Army Surplus in a great condition. I usually have size 10 1/2 trainers however the only ones they had near my size was a size 10 M. I tried them on and they felt okay at first, just a little bit snug as you would with any boots. I took them home and have been wearing them with a good hiking sock however the left boot just seems so tight and uncomfortable around my big toe. I can move my toes but it's harder compared to my right foot. After a while I start to notice that my left foot toes end up tingling and going numb so I take them off (after 30 minutes or so) Should I keep at it or try and return them? Cheers
  20. @mightyjebus How is the M904G still treating you? I ordered the M904E the other day and should be getting it tomorrow. Have you had any issues with it? Needed to do any upgrades or maintenance?
  21. Went with the double Eagle m904e. Think it's fair to give them a go and I see them as being interesting. Will let you know how they go!
  22. Haven't heard much about Double eagle, I know the externals are made of a polymer I believe? Are they pretty reliable? Can't seem to find much online about them
  23. Thank you for all your inputs. I will take them on board. Definitely going to do some more research into the G&G and Specna arms. Cyma are great but I feel their strengths are in the AKs, not sure what their m4s are like. Thing is at the moment I want a gun that is going to last, be reliable and perform to a perfectly reasonable level. It's going to be my first gun which will be used and abused and I feel like the suggestions everyone provided could be that one. Thank you all.
