  1. I can understand where you are coming from, just feels strange for a bucking to be longer than it should be. I have been able to shave it and it seems to work but I don't have the tools to be able to do it very clean.
  2. Hello, I recently tried installing a Maple Leaf 60 degree AEG yellow bucking into my stock hop up, however the lips were too long (It would feed when using a mag however if I hand fed the hop up bbs they would get stuck on the lips of the bucking). I tried sanding it but it became very messy. I then did some research and found that people recommend the ZCI rotary plastic hop up. I also found this video from Negative Airsoft where he uses the same bucking but in the ZCI hop up. So I purchased one of them and installed a new bucking with the new hop up. It was the same issue. This time I used a razor to just shave it as cleanly as possible but I am still not 100% happy with it. FPS is great and consistent but I don't really think I should be having to cut a product such as a bucking just to make sure it works correctly. I use the omega nub too. Does anyone have any suggestions on which buckings I should try instead? Thank you
  3. Hello, Currently running a M904e as stock. The gearbox seems okay from the moment but I am wanting to improve the range and accuracy. I have been looking at putting in a better inner barrel, bucking and rubber. According to Taiwangun the inner barrel length is 215mm and the cylinder is 3/4th. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!
  4. I would say around 50m. I have a 60 degree and a omega nub that I may fit in it for my next skirmish day and see how that goes. It was also very windy today so that may of paid a bit part of it!
  5. Got it Tuesday. First full day of skirmishing with it today and it was actually very impressive. Range and accuracy at longer ranges were it's only issue but everything else is great. My one major issue I have had is that the hopper is quite hard to turn. One way its smooth but the other needs a key or for you to have long nails because the grooves are quite small.
  6. Managed to return them for a full refund.. They didn't have a size up which is unfortunate. I currently play in a pair of columbia walking trainers which offer great grip but no ankle support. What do you recommend?
  7. Didn't know that, might be the reason why my right foot (smaller than the left one) is snug but okay where as my left is just rather uncomfortable. I text the army surplus owner and he said "no problem" to my return so that's good news. I didn't mention refund though
  8. It's a pretty official surplus shop. They are the local shop to a fairly big town. I purchased all my airsoft jackets and etc from there which have all been great. I am hoping he will do a refund out of good will and I will return when I need other bits and bobs.
  9. Yeah that is what I am thinking, although not sure what a private army surplus will be like if I ask to return/refund them!
  10. Hello, Purchased some Altberg boots today from a Army Surplus in a great condition. I usually have size 10 1/2 trainers however the only ones they had near my size was a size 10 M. I tried them on and they felt okay at first, just a little bit snug as you would with any boots. I took them home and have been wearing them with a good hiking sock however the left boot just seems so tight and uncomfortable around my big toe. I can move my toes but it's harder compared to my right foot. After a while I start to notice that my left foot toes end up tingling and going numb so I take them off (after 30 minutes or so) Should I keep at it or try and return them? Cheers
  11. @mightyjebus How is the M904G still treating you? I ordered the M904E the other day and should be getting it tomorrow. Have you had any issues with it? Needed to do any upgrades or maintenance?
  12. Went with the double Eagle m904e. Think it's fair to give them a go and I see them as being interesting. Will let you know how they go!
  13. Haven't heard much about Double eagle, I know the externals are made of a polymer I believe? Are they pretty reliable? Can't seem to find much online about them
  14. Thank you for all your inputs. I will take them on board. Definitely going to do some more research into the G&G and Specna arms. Cyma are great but I feel their strengths are in the AKs, not sure what their m4s are like. Thing is at the moment I want a gun that is going to last, be reliable and perform to a perfectly reasonable level. It's going to be my first gun which will be used and abused and I feel like the suggestions everyone provided could be that one. Thank you all.
  15. I already sold it today! Going to a good home of a AK Collection! I did see this one today, I take it is a good solid gun which has a good range and reliable accuracy? What does the barrel upgrade do?
  16. Yeah I got it this week. I think I will look into getting one that comes with a mosfet already and a quick change spring too to make things easier. I think I am going to have a look into the specna arms or G&G. Do you know any that I should stick away from and any that stand out from the rest?
  17. Cheers! Will have a look into them. Local stores are around an hours drive or so. It may be worth me hitting one and seeing what they have. There is one shop called onlyairsoft which is a part of the airsoft site I go to and I get 10% discount there that may be good but the shop is around 2 hours away!
  18. Cheers. I am probably looking for something towards the m4 platform or similar now. I would say the budget is around £150-£250 which I believe its quite reasonable. Do you have any recommendations?
  19. Hello, Had a look at the gun suggestion guides on here but they are quite old and out of date now. I recently bought a Cyma AK CM040c but I as soon as I held it I knew it wasn't for me. The weight was fine and it was built very solid I must admit but something personal to me just felt "off". What are some good go tos now? People keep recommending Specna Arms because they come with mosfets already, some people talk about G&G but I used one of the CM16 raiders as a rental 3 times. It felt nice and worked but it did lack range and accuracy. Do G&G do good guns which are a step above those? I am open to all suggestions but unfortunately the long CYMA ak was just not for me. Cheers!
  20. Hello, Is there any tech in the Warwickshire or surrounding area? I've been struggling all day trying to get this gearbox together but just can't seem to get it.
