  1. @alxndrhll I agree, DAI leasure is best avoided. I ordered a Hawke Red Dot April 23rd. They didn't contact me to let me know they didn't have stock. They respond to my emails by saying they'll look into my order and never got back to me. They said they'd refund me twice and still haven't after nearly 2 months. I understand stock errors happen, but it's an awful customer service when they don't let you know, ignore you and then even lie to you.
  2. I've also been looking. There aren't any in stock anywhere in the UK. I suspect there is a licensing or manufacturing issue. There are a few sites listing pre-orders so hopefully they start selling them. The only place I've found with any stock is: https://www.switairsoft.com/product-page/ksc-mp9-t-n-t-upgraded But that an important from Taiwan so will cost, plus have the usual customs problems. Note they do say that they do downgrade guns for export and the MP9 does run a little hot for the UK. If you do come across anywhere selling let me know, I'd appreciate it.
  3. Thanks for your response to my Well R7 question. Sorry I didn't reply, I left the forums for a while as someone in a different thread frustrated me by being daft lol.

I bought a new battery (a regular NiMh not a LiPo), but my old charger gets scarily hot ad it just doesn't seem right when I use them together so it's a bit money-wasted.

Hey no need to apologise, sometimes it's good to have a break. As you've got a new battery, it does sound like your charger is a little broken. If I was you I'd ask round your airsoft friends to see if they've got an old charger they don't need. If they're like me they probably have several NiMh chargers spare. Alot of guns come with a NiMh battery and charger, and the first thing I do is upgrade to LiPo.

TBH I'm thinking of selling off the Well R7 cheap to someone who already has LiPo stuff.

I'm generally a gas gun fan so I'm thinking of just offloading everything that doesn't run on gas.

But yeah I've got rid of that charger - It got so hot the sticker on the plug blistered up. That ain't right, yo. lol.

  4. Hey. Hopefully you've got the issue sorted. If not I have a recommended purchase list: AEP lipo battery (£16) TM AEP adapter (£10) LiPo Charger (£24) Battery meter (£10) LiPo charging bag (£5) The battery meter and bag are optional. But I do recommend the meter to help ensure you don't over charge/discharge the battery. Lipos can occasionally catch fire so the bag is recommended. If you don't get the bag, at least charge in someplace safe like a kitchen where a small fire won't burn the house down. Don't use a nihm charger on a lipo. Don't leave it on charge alone, AEP batterys charge quickly. Don't charge around things that are flammable.
  5. @Opforia Hey, I'm looking to run my MP9 with HPA so was curious what set up you settled on in the end? I don't have any HPA guns or gear so any advice would be useful. Thanks👍
  6. Hi all, Does anyone know where I can get an suppressor that fits over the outer barrel of an M14 so it's not too long. The closet I have found so far is a 'Swiss Arms Barrel Extension G.O.O.B 320x45 14mm Thread', but I cannot find the internal dimensions so I'm unsure if it will fit. Thanks in advance, Nathan
  7. Hey, Have you considered getting an SMC9, then you could get a GTP-9 pistol and use the same mags.
  8. @Mr. No_Face It's a gen 2 and does have the release button. I think the import version shoots a little hot at around 370fps. I've had a look at the spring and its very short and stiff. Looks like I'll have to cut down a few different springs to try out. With it running at 300fps I think a 11.1v might risk premature engagement, so I'll wait until its upto 340fps.
  9. @Mr. No_Face I ordered it form Land Warrior. It just arrived and works fine. It does however come with some paperwork that shows it only shoots at 303fps and to only to use a 7.4v Lipo. I suspect they might have detuned it, and recommend to use a 7.4v to avoid having to repair it under warranty. Later I'll chrono it and as its got a quick change spring I'll pop it out and have a look at it. If you want mags the only place I found with stock is powair6. They also do the rails and 12mm cw to 14mm ccw adapter.
  10. Hi all, I've just ordered a Umarex/VFC MP7A1 V2. I've read contradicting information about what battery to use. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has experience running an 11.1v lipo on the V2 at around 330-340fps to know if they had any issues. Thanks, Nathan
  11. Hi All, Just working on my project Pistol a TM G18c AEP. I was looking for a threaded barrel/slide and there isn't much choice. I however did find the new Novritsch SSE18 slide will fit. If anyone wants to do the same, it does require some slight modifications. The end of the plastic barrel needs cutting down and the internal top cover need chamfering to fit the internal profile of the slide. (Optionally you could order the SSE18 top cover, which looks like it will fit). Its a snug fit but, locks together well. The metal slide is actually a few grams lighter that the plastic TM one, and I prefer the sights.
  12. @Adolf Hamster Thanks for the advice. I just thought it would be nice to have that adjustability without having to keep rebuilding my gearbox to chase a few fps, especially as the springs and seals degrade over time. I'm already running bearings on both the spring guide and the piston. I'll try removing the one in the piston to see if that drops the fps enough on a weaker M100 spring. If that doesn't work, would you recommend fitting a spacer on the spring guide or the pistol end of the spring. I've heard negatives for both, increased piston weight vs a potential piston catch point. I'm aiming for a rate of fire in the low 20's, no not sure how concern I should be about premature engagement on a M100 ish spring. I'm know fps isn't everything, but I'd like to get somthing closer.
  13. Hi all, I'm upgrading my Tokyo Marui Sig 552 and looking to fine tune the FPS. I’ve seen online that on some AEG's you can adjust the FPS with just a hex key. This allow for upto a 40fps adjustment. It looks like you can adjust the preload on the spring by moving the spring guide. But no matter where I look, I can’t find anyone who sells an adjustable spring guide for a V3 gearbox. The only place I’ve found is ROA, who use to make one for a V2 gearbox? Even the JG version of the Sig 552 has this feature. I’m half tempted to buy one just to pull it apart to steal the adjustable witchcraft inside. Can anyone point me in the right direction to what I'm looking for? If there isn't an aftermarket part available, are there any recommendations on the best method to fine tuning FPS? I’m aiming for 340 fps but the two M100's I fitted measured 350 – 360 fps and the M90 I just fitted is measuring 310 fps. I’d like to get within 5-10 fps of 340 without going over. Is it better to preload a weaker spring or weaken a stronger spring with heat/cutting/compression? Or should I just keep buying springs until I find one that is right? Thanks for any help!
  14. @SkaraThanks for the help. I've just done a full strip down and rebuild. Looks like when I fitted the motor end plate I pinched wire pressing the motor in too far and over loaded the bevel gear. This caused alot of friction on the right side bush and it picked up on the shim. After a clean out, new shim and regrease its sounds much better and will turn over happily on a 7.2v. Later I'll chronograph it to ensure it's ok.
  15. Hi, I’m new to upgrades to airsoft. I have Tokyo Marui Sig 552 it was running at 85m/s and 14rps with a 7.2v20c lipo and 25rps with 11.1v lipo with a Warfet mosfet. I’ve just fitted the Guarder full tune up kit with a SP100 spring. The gearbox went back together happily and all seemed good at its at 100m/s, but now it won’t turn over with the 7.2v20c and I’m getting 16rps with a 11.1v20c. The Sig has a EG1000 motor which I thought would have lots of torque, so wasn’t expecting such a large drop in the rate of fire. Is this normal or has something gone wrong? If this is normal, what would I need to change to get the rate of fire back to ~25 rps?
