  1. When I say I’m too tight I actually mean I’ll have a hard time explaining it away to the “boss of who should be obeyed” £200 on a gun I can get away with “there’s a lot of it for your money sweetie” but £90 hiding away under ya helmet she just can’t understand the bane that fog-up is with the usual comment well can’t you take it off and wipe it I love to tinker when it comes to crafty-type things so the goggles were fun and I’m in the middle of two projects a slightly larger mesh tooth guard and a custom bandolier - waiting on vinyl to turn up for some intricate masking off and for toolstation to text me saying my blades are ready for pick up.
  2. I got a pair just like @RonLancs posted up last year and being a spectacle wearer who being *cough* over 21 *cough* use vari-vocal for close work/scope work contacts never worked great but I steamed up like a bad-un - so I dropped in two 25mm 5V Hydraulic Bearing Brushless Fans from that there Amazon connected to my rechargeable 9v battery from my bass guitar and soon as the fog’o’doom starts up and within seconds they clear up nicely. i Sugru’ed them on and admittedly I can hear it just but no one else usually can unless your standing directly next to someone and then the first thing they think it is is a gas leak from a mag I’m personally too tight to justify blowing 90 buttons on EX-Fog when I can knock summat up for less than taking the wife out for a 2-4-1 meal, I think I paid £12 for the Goggles last year and the fans where like a £5 for 3, and £2-3 on the battery box the rest I had already so add another £5 for those if you had to buy.
  3. Cheers guys, I like the idea of “pennies” for mods and I suppose £150-ish VSR and tinkering on it is a lot cheaper to replace/repair if I do a “Shoddy-Mc-Shoddy” job of it than a £500 SRS and foobarring it. Spose it’s now time to find a stockist that’s actually has one or the other in stock............
  4. I guess they are using a master paper plane thrower for this part of the briefing !! 🤗 Seriously how desperate can they be to put their customers and even staff at risk for a chance to go pew pew for a few quid or anyone actually stupid enough to pay over money knowing that the likelihood of the old bill shutting it down ? /amazed
  5. Hi guys/gals With the shutdown really curtailing my spending so I have stocked up a little kitty fund, so I have a serious ponder 🤔 I absolutely love the look of a SRS and would love one, if I bought a new A2 how well does it perform “out of the box” or will I need to drop a lot more in it for it to be a good performer - I know that a better spring is a must but is there a lot more or does SRS really stand for Serious Retail Spending?? Other option would buying a VSR variant and upgrading it, admittedly I’m a tad nervous about gutting a brand new shooter to tweak up/screw up or would buying of those pre-upgraded jobbies that a lot of stores offer - I am aware of Mssrs Nov but there seems to be a lot of questions here over his QC but is this a good option ? One last question if I may .. bar the obvious length difference what’s the main difference between the 16” covert and the 22” monster ? cheers in advance
  6. The ONLY advice that is 100% correct atm is.... WAIT & Enjoy looking at airsoft gun porn on the YouTube
  7. Decided there’s no time like the present to get out the wife’s sowIng machine and custom make a ghillie suit to fit this larger than the normal body. The scariest thing is that I’m gonna have to trust my misses with some pins when I want to get a pattern made and then again to test fit the prototype /scared
  8. Ordered mine last week - arrived this morning verrrry nice indeed
