  1. I don't have an issue with it other than: Try making a rational argument to a politician/political group that we need RIFs to play airsoft when these are/become available. A platform specifically designed for airsoft use is always going to be superior to something based on a real firearm which has certain design compromises because it is a firearm. Imo community would split over the suspension of disbelief element as some would shoot themselves in the foot and decide it's fine as they don't need a RIF to play speedsoft or a walk on skirmish. I think the government will have another crack at airsoft sooner or later.
  2. A friend admins it. A post over a year old, flagged by a bot it appears. No idea really why but poof, UKAC is gone.
  3. The biggest UK airsoft facebook group has been removed. It was only a matter of time. Hopefully the upside is a return to forums, ideally this one.
  4. Uh. Never had an issue. They are never as bright though. Fair enough.
  5. All tracer units light up red or greens, they work on light from the UV spectrum. Reds are not as bright but are perfectly adequate.
  6. It's the extra customs checks that are going to be a pain. Forget the 5-7 day delivery from europe. I have a package that's been in customs 2 months, with receipts and they are questioning the value still.
  7. Yep. Love chucking a single action around even on a skirmish day. I had an ASG Schofield I used to use a lot on a range at home and in cqb it was really effective. It can be really difficult at times but that's the fun. Anyway I've changed its colour now.
  8. Remington 1875 Frontier Army Remingtons failed (but by many accounts better) attempt to cash in on the colt single action army. Started life as a 177 airgun. A few bits machined and it's now an airsoft gun with a fixed hop. I *think* it's the only airsoft one so far. Ideally I'd like to change the colour and hydrodip the grips wood or paint them more like bone. But this is now my primary airsoft "weapon".
  9. It's currently .177 but won't be when I get round to it. I bin the barrels out of any wingun type revolver anyway as they are invariably shite, and dan wesson shells will fit with very slight modding.
  10. I assume the 2 shot one. That one is actually a chiappa 22rf blank "remington" derringer. 1860s design.
  11. Some of the random stuff I've gotten my hands on lately, kind of. Waiting on a couple still. The only one I've committed to keeping is the shotgun
  12. This advert is COMPLETED!

Marushin COP 357 The hard to get hold of short silver version. In 8mm, check your site allows them if you intend to game with it. (sub 1 joule) Unboxed, scratch to the top of the barrels, shown in photo. Trades: Would make a deal for a WE colt Junior (CT25) or swap for a TM 1911 or series 70 Or any western revolver considered.

  13. Maruzen made gbb ones, which are supposedly quite good. Haven't had one yet, easy enough to get but expensive. As did a company called arms revolution, who made them and then disappeared off the face of the earth. And the guns were gash.
  14. Yes. The only difference is the shells, specifically there are small restrictor washers inside them. However, you've got a hop in them, which you would want to be setting each time for high and low power. Probably best to just leave them as low power. But if you do want to plink, and must have more power, you can remove the tip of the shells (they just pull off) and the restrictor comes out. You can replace this when you go skirmishing. Don't be tempted to go to a game with the low power coloured shells with no restrictors fitted, if you do that you deserve the shells to be inserted one by one up your japseye.
  15. Echo 1 GAT I've fancied one for a while but wasn't sure about the build quality. I'm actually very impressed with it. I refinished the steel, the real ones were parkerised but I like the look of heat and oil finished steel. Just working on a couple of short mags for it and waiting for the foresight to arrive as it didn't come with the gun.
  16. A mate has one of those, had it years. Rare as rocking horse shit but it's actually been a really good gun.
  17. There have been a few. JAC, Marushin and Tokyo Marui all made skirmishable Uzis, and Northeast are releasing a GBB one next year. I've imported a few nice TM uzis this year and have got another few imminently arriving so there are a few more around so maybe you'll see one. I've only ever seen a Galil used once. My regular site uses g36s as rentals so see them all the time. Old spec ARs like m16a1s or XM177s, don't see those often at all.
  18. Actually, one of the now defunct Japanese manufacturers made one in the early 90s. Most likely JAC or Asahi. Or even Sun Project.
  19. That's a fantastic custom build.
  20. That's what's going to happen with the stronger stuff. Though tbf, it's not that hard to tidy it up. I'll get one myself as a test dummy. Just floated the idea to him to make a few.
